Another FLARM thread by
Andy[_1_]
The FLARM in US thread has taken so may twist and turns I decided to
start a new one.
I was prompted by a discussion on u.r.a.s to read the SGU FLARM trial
report again. I had read it when it was first published but since
FLARM was not available in US at that time I quicky forgot about it.
It's...

More Videos from Logan, UT Region 9 contest by
Bruno[_2_]
I am slowly getting around to editing more of the 18+ hours of video
footage taken while racing in the Logan, Utah Region 9 contest a few
weeks back. Here are the first two days of video I shot. I plan on
doing a video segment for each day of the contest. The footage might
get redundant but...

Flarm in the US by
Steve Freeman
Curious about the use of Flarm in the US. Was told by another pilot
that the frequency used by Flarm is not approved for that category of
use in the US. Is that true? If it is, do they make units that use a
US approved frequency?

Cloth For Canopy Cover by
John[_27_]
I would like to make a cover for the canopy to put on while it's in
the trailer. I've seen cloth that is cotton-like on the outside, but
soft on the inside. Anybody have a name handy on this material that
would be the ideal cloth to use when sewing a cover?
Thanks,
John

Landing Frequency (USA Pilots) by
noel.wade
All -
How many of you in the USA use the same frequency when flying cross-
country as in the traffic-pattern?
(i.e. you _don't_ switch frequencies when you're returning to the
airport and preparing to land)
As an alternate way to ask the same question: How many soaring sites
have you been to,...

Blanik parts help by
JC
We had a ground handling mishap and we will need to replace the final
section of the fuselage tail skin on our L-13. This is where the last
two bulkheads are and where the tail wheel assembly attaches. I´m
waiting for a reply from Blanik America but I have the impression that
this is a hard to find...

How to run a wing? by
Andy[_1_]
In the more than 30 years I have been involved in gliding/soaring I
have had my wing run many times, have run other pilot’s wings, and
have taught novices to run wings for ground and aerotow launches.
At a recent national contest I saw a wing running technique that I had
never seen before. I was...

Altimeter Setting by
Rolf
Over the years (30 or so) Caesar Creek Soaring Club has vacillated
with setting the altimeter to zero or MSL. Last year the Board decided
to put the Club ships on an MSL basis (private gliders exempted).
There are however a number of members who are continuing to make it an
issue. I would be...

Question for those of you that operate DG 200´s..
Last year there was an AD that called for inspection of a rod end in

with one that has an X..
