Cambridge L-Nav audio vario just ate it... by
Bruno
On my last flight my audio vario suddenly started to read a consistent
300-400 fpm too high for the present conditions. I have a mechanical
vario that remained accurate and on my L-Nav screen my average fpm
sink rate was correct. Any ideas what I can check? It was really
annoying when I was...

Just wondering if anyone familiar with the Little Rock area can
provide some suggestions for motels near the convention site with
rates in the "1" or "2" tow range versus the "3" tow Convention Hotel.

flying on US license in Europe? by
tienshanman
I would like to spent a few weeks flying somewhere in Europe this summer. Alps or S. France probably. Can anyone tell me whether I can fly solo in France, Germany, Austria, Italy on my US license? I would also be interested in hearing about a generally good place to fly and rent gliders in that...

Sailplane Models Brochure by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I have enjoyed selling scale sailplane and towplane model kits for about a
year now. I recently put together a new brochure which shows all the model
kits I sell. They make great gifts!

Converting a glider from Experiemental to Standard Airworthiness by
Peter[_1_]
I'm going to ramble here and hope someone has the patience and experience
to help me :-)
So I'm looking at buying an ASW-24, its currently on an Experimental
Certificate but if I was ever to want to export the glider from the US to
the UK for example), it would need to be on a Standard...

Ultimate soaring challenges or adventures by
nimbusgb
I am looking to compile a list of 'The Ultimate Soaring Adventures'.
I'd
appreciate any input from the forum on what they see as the pinnacle
of
soaring whether it is a 1000km task, flying New Zealands wave or some
other goal that may be beyond the day-to-day pilots reach.
I'll put up a list on a...

toys for your glider by
bumper[_2_]
It's still possible to get a really neat and appreciated gift for all
your glider buddies for $10 or less (that's *each* you tightwad)! In a
pinch, can also be used as wedding, anniversary, or birthday present -
- though results may vary.
I get "bulk" orders for gifts to hand out to other club...

1-26 for first glider, or not? by
tstock
I know I will get replies on each end of the spectrum... but for a
first glider, low time pilot, it seems like a 1-26 would be a good
choice. Easy to fly, easy to land in tight spaces, cheap to maintain,
and very common and there are a few 1-26 groups, so help is
available. It's inexpensive (well...

Need Schroth seat belt clip by
bdbng
I purchased a new set of Schroth belts last season and now I want to
add a 5th strap to hold the release down at my waist. I called the
distributor and was informed that Schroth hardware is no longer
available. So much for buying premium equipment. Does anyone out there
have a clip that I can have...

Longest X/C Using Gravity Launch? by

Anyone know? All this 'ultimate soaring adventure' talk got me
thinking how cool it would be to do X/C- without the benefit of
aerotow/winch/noisy thing... Also called 'slope launch' or 'rolling
launch'.
For those unfamiliar with this launch...
