a program that used model data to generate soundings over the contest area.
There was what looked like a graphical representation of the terrain with
small circles over the grid points, with each circle having some sort...

Looking for a full time tow pilot by
Fred
Soar Minden is looking for a full time tow pilot starting in September.
All the usual desires apply: we'd like thousands of hours in Pawnees,
mature, settled, willing to work for a pittance, and if you're an A&P
that's even better. Now, let's be realistic: 500 hours and 100 in
tailwheels are a...

cloud flying regulations by
Fox Two
There has been a few articles in SOARING on this lately, and perhaps a
thread or two. Some have quoted the USA FAR's about flying gliders in
clouds, or to be exact: in conditions less than VMC, but I haven't been
able to locate the actual regs. Do any of you have the specific reg
numbers for the...

LX1600 polar info by
Chris Davison
Hi, has anyone who uses an LX1600 worked out how to
send the unit a polar curve, so that the netto display
makes sense. The manual helpfully says 'use your PDA'
but I have no idea what SW to use? Winpilot seems
to do some stuff, but does not mention polars.
Thanks
Chris
