I'd bet that the 73A markings are so someone (oil industry with rigs in the
gulf, for instance) can identify their aircraft at long range - "Is that one
of our helicopters landing on the oil rig?" The 73A may be part of an N
number, or may not have anything to do with the N number at...

GA to 8ohm Headphone Adapter Completed by

Having posted to this group before, I though I would just provide
the follow up.
I completed a transformer design - thanks for people who
posted in the group with information.
Instead of paying $75 - $150 for an adapter, I constructed
what is the equivalent of 500 ohm source impedance to
4 ohm...

The numbers look too large for the aircraft and cross into the red
stripes -- never seen this on an aircraft. Note that military and law
enforcement helicopters may not have FAA numbers.
