O-360 sticking valve update by
[email protected]
Hello all. I know it's been awhile since I updated, but progress has been
slow. Here's where we're at:
Last weekend:
- Pulled valve covers, rockers, pushrods, exhaust.
- Pushed on valves and were unable to feel any sticking like there was the last time
we definately had sticking valves. Decided...

Twin Comanche comparisons by
Dico
Hello There,
I am wondering if someone can point me to a site or give me information
on the cabin sizes between the early Twin Comanches and the later
models that have the extra window. I'm curious as to the leg room a
back seat passenger may have. ie: would someone 6'5" and 250lbs...

TEST PILOTS ACCOUNT OF INFLITE BREAK UP (SR 71) (LONG) by
caleb
******************
For those of you who think you have had a wild ride, read this:
Bill Weaver : SR-71 BREAKUP
Among professional aviators, there's a well-worn saying: Flying is
simply
hours of boredom punctuated by moments of stark terror. And yet, I
don't
recall too many periods of boredom...

ME Insurance by
Scott Draper
Can a multi-engine student get insurance for his own ME airplane,
based on his instructor's ME time? One insurance company is saying
"no way"; they'll only insure him AFTER he get's his ME rating. I'm
wondering if this is universally true.

Sell Google Stocks before they crash! by
Wallstreet-Cockpit
Dear Traders,
One thing is fore sure, good value stocks will never fall like Amazon.com or Yahoo! during the perfect storm of the internet hype.
To give you a small hint about Google, you have to look at the heavy insider trading in this stock. Stocks with the value of more than 15 Billion...

Engine Failures per Million Hours by
[email protected]
I was wondering if anyone has ever found any hard data on the number of
engine failures per million flight hours.
I am specifically interested in the 0-300-D, the engine that I fly
now, and the 0-470 which I'm looking at buying....
Anything helps...
Thanks,

Tri-Pacer
I need one of those rubber stamps that say 'I certify that this aircraft has

They used to be advertised all over a few years ago, now I can't find one

Bf 109F by
Tri-Pacer
I saw an ad in my current Trade-a-Plane for a "new from the factory" Bf 109F
still in its original shipping crate as manufactured in 1942.
Has anyone heard anything about this find? I wonder if it's a scam?
What a find--wow.
Cheers:
Paul

Poll: Ignition Harness Replacement by
Jim Burns
The ignition harnesses on our Aztec are not the newest items on the airplane
by any means. In fact, if somebody told me that they were original, I
wouldn't be able to refute it. Our's show some fraying of the outer cover,
some of the cigarettes are looking pretty old, showing fatigue, some of...

Registration question by
Michael Horowitz
I'm reading the FAA CD for a Tcraft.
I see in '90 that it sustained substantial damage, was deregistered as
'totally distroyed', then sold.
Apparently someone resurrected it, because it was sold several years
later using the same N number and it's currently flying in Florida.
The CD (BTW) doesn't...
