KLN-89B GPS xponder compatibility by
Victor
I have installed a KLN-89B installed but the altitude comming from the
xponder is not working. The xponder is an old Narco AT50. I wonder if
other pilots have another model of xponder installed that actually
interfaces with the GPS.

We're planning a trip from Northern California to Vancouver, Canada and
would appreciate some pointers.
1. What documents do we need to fly into Canada?
2. What are the ADIZ procedures?
3. What about customs?
4. Which airport/FBO is good for someone who is staying in the city of
Vancouver?
5. ...

I studied regulation back in college and don't remember any specific

Static in KX-165A by
Chad Lemmen
I have two KX-165A nav/coms in my Cessna 320F and static can be heard
through the headsets from both of these radios. The static is not
noticeable while flying, but can be heard during taxi. It can also be
heard with both engines off and all circuit breakers pulled except the
radio circuit...

Bendix King's worthless GPS loader software by
Ryan Ferguson
Okay, it's not actually totally worthless, because I DID manage to
update my KLN-94 GPS database via an internet download and the gps
loader software available on the bendixking.com website. But it's kinda
close to worthless in my opinion.
First, I have to comment and say that the Bendix King...

Davis Clark ISOCOM pinouts by
Wayne
Working on a 172 with an ISOCOM panel mount intercom. There are no jacks
on the rear seats. Anyone have the pinouts for the unit? I've never got to
see the instructions for an intercom and wondered how they are wired so the
PTT only works for the guy that pushes the button. I assume that the...

Garmin G1000 by
Foster
Interesting: In the current issue of Flying, on page 40 there is a small
article about Diamond selecting the Garmin G1000 for the Twin Star.
But Garmin has not yet announced a G1000. Appears somebody goofed on
timing their press releases.
