Garmin G1000

Interesting: In the current issue of Flying, on page 40 there is a small
article about Diamond selecting the Garmin G1000 for the Twin Star.

But Garmin has not yet announced a G1000. Appears somebody goofed on
timing their press releases.

I saw that too and was wondering - what the heck is a G1000?. Don't imagine
this was the way they planned to unveil the new system.

The Garmin G1000 has also been selected for the Cessna Mustang. Garmin has
said it will unveil the G1000 at Oshkosh. Garmin's people have been
promoting the G1000 and issuing press releases on its acceptance by aircraft
manufacturers for several months now. You just will not be able to buy one
until Oshkosh.
