Instrument Panel by
ccwillwerth
I am to the point that I must cut the holes in my panel. Does anyone know
of a source for full sized instrument faces in paper or something. I would
like them to place on the panel to have a full size view of the layout
before cutting. The layout could be shifted around until I find the...

It looks to be well designed and built. Anyone have any personal
experience with them. the same q was asked in r.a.r, but i thought
since it IS a kit, and this is r.a.h that more people might have one in
this group. might...

Airborne DF by
ccwillwerth
Hi All,
I am fitting my homebuilt with instruments and radios, and wanted to add a
Direction Finder. I wanted a doppler type, but with small antennas in a 4
point aray with a small dimension or distance between the antennas. Am I
really far out of reason, or is this an achievable goal?

aviation vhf handheld radio problem by
pwm
I bought a Vertex VXA-210 vhf aviation handheld and am experiencing a
strange tone when attempting to transmit with my David Clark headset plugged
into it. The tone is not present if I disconnect the mic plug from the
headset adapter. The tone also fades away if I remove the "rubber ducky"
antenna...

Airplane design. by
Stuart Grey
I was looking at the design of the Murphy Moose:
http://www.murphyair.com/
They put the cost at about 100k$, cheap compared to the two Cessna's and
the Bush Hawk to which Murphy compares the Moose:
http://www.murphyair.com/Product_Info/Super/compare.htm
From their engine page, half of that cost...

Trammeling by

To All:
Every now & then you run into a repair that involves turning two
airplanes into one. Typical case is mating a tail-less airframe to the
aft fuselage of an identical airframe which lost its nose.
Doing so is fairly straight-forward but tends to be easier with steel
tube than aluminum. ...

From the Jim Campbell, Captain Zoom archives (all of 6 years ago) by
Mick
Folks,
Thought this was too important to get lost in the past. And I conclude
more than ever that Jim Campbell does bad things, is bad for aviation,
and has no business in the aviation community. The most salient points
are, in my opinion, the references to glowing reviews of unsafe
aircraft by...

Hello.
I just completed the last of the three written exams for my
Airframe & Powerplant rating. So I no longer have an excuse
to put off the oral and practical test!
Any words of wisdom for how to best prepare for this test?
Also, should I go for both licenses in a single O&P session,

Seaplane crash details by
Capt.Doug
I tried to post some bitmap images with this but it didn't come up on my
server. Anyways..
Concerning the Chalks seaplane crash in Miami, fatigue features were
observed in the lower spar cap of the rear spar of the inboard end of the
right wing, bisecting 2 offset drilled holes.
