New Products for Sailplanes. by
[email protected]
I personally want to know when a new product comes out for our sport.
There are not that many new products that come out annually.
I read this forum more than any other sailplane website out there and
if I am thinking about buying a $4000.00 dollar flight computer then I
want to know if there is...

Hangar Photo by
Marian Aldenhövel
Hi,
Issue 2/05 of Free Flight has a cool photo of a hangar full of vintage
gliders on Page 20.

Do you know of any other pictures of well-packed hangars on the net?
Ciao, MM

Cable break recovery spin entry... as previously discussed by
[email protected]
Pilots depend on simple, quickly applied remedies to any loss of
control. Since we are not always afforded the luxury of examination,
analysis, and consideration of options as a preamble to action, any
flight condition where these simple rules of recovery do not work
demands closer examination and...

Schweizer 1-36 by
Jack
In researching the available 'Net-data on the SGS 1-36, I've noticed that of
the 44 serial numbers in this model's production run, there is FAA, NTSB, or
Canadian registration database info on all except #13. Interestingly
(perhaps), current FAA registration info for all Schweizer gliders...

Open Class Nats, Region 8 and 1-26 Nats by
Kilo Charlie
Anyone have any info re contest results or whether or not they have flown
the past 2 days? The only thing that I can find is a report from Charlie
Lite on the Region 8 site from 2 days ago. Nothing more on the SSA site or
their local sites that I can find either.

Wanted MiniBat by

All or parts. Finnished or kit. I intend to design and build new
wings for this
type. The poor choice of airfoil on these rendered them almost
unflyable. I am in Chattanooga area.

Commercial - New LX7007 by
Paul Remde
Hi,
LX Navigation will soon begin shipping the new LX7007 Pro IGC flight
computer. I expect the first units to arrive sometime in July.
The LX7007 Pro IGC is the newest version of what was previously the LX7000
Pro IGC. The new version offers a faster processor, more memory (I think)
for...

Winch Hardware - To swivel or not swivel by
John G. Harte
Our club is fortunate enough to have a winch, and a large number of ground
launch endorsed pilots.
We use a steel cable and encounter some kinking and twisting at the glider
end of the setup. Last weekend we installed a swivel in line before the cg
hook and were initially pleased with the first...
