LS10 News by
Ed Hollestelle
Contrary to the statement in the Aerokurier LS10 article, the LS10 will be
build as a 15M/18M glider.
We had many calls regarding this and I confirmed with Volker Halbe ( DG
director of sales) this morning !

Question about SpaceShipOne... by
Oscar S Alonso
A stupid question for RAS members...
Assuming you have the financial resources could you legally fly the
SpaceShipOne with a Private Pilot Glider with a Motor glider endorsement?
Regards,
Oscar.
P.S. -- The Space/Aircraft has an "N"umber.

How Reliable Is Your Panel? by
Chip Bearden
(from a related thread)
It worked fine but I could hear it on the radio. Puting the switch in a
metal box and grounding the box should help but it seems silly to me since
the Volkslogger and SN-10 both can log the flight and are both very
reliable. Of course the SN-10 log can't be used...

Boom (gooseneck) Vs ambiance microphone by
Ludovic Launer
Hi,
I saw a glider recently with a "ambiance" microphone installed in the
instrument panel (facing the pilot, it only takes a small hole in the
instrument panel).
I was wondering how this performed compared to what we're used to = goosneck
microphone on the cockpit side.
I like the idea, it's...

Discus Prandtl tube by
Serge Serfaty
On the vertical fin of the original Discus, there are
3 holes. one for securing the elevator, one where the
total energy antenna fits in and in between a small
tube that sticks out about an inch and a half and is
chromed.
It looks to me that it could be a Prandlt tube. Unfortunately
it is plugged...
