GENESIS 2 RECOMMENDATION by
Gordon Schubert
Lennie:
You are right. It can get very expensive, especially
if you've become a total fanatic about it like I have.
It's very relaxing for me to get away from my business
and go fly. I am very fortunate to be able to afford
to do something that I really enjoy.

Tail Skid Help / Advice by
Ray Lovinggood
Would anyone please provide advice on how to fix a
tail skid problem?
My LS-1d has a rubber tail skid with a hard plastic
wheel. The skid tends to 'creep' around the fuselage
boom sufficiently enough to cause the glider to not
track straight on a paved runway. For takeoffs, I'll
point the...

What are the SZD55 equivilents by
goneill
I saw a SZD55 advertised and want to know what does it compare to .
I looked at the index of types and it seems Discus1 or slightly better
but sink rate seems a little high.
Some opinions from those who have flown one.
I am actively looking for a glider for myself and trying to fill in my
knowledge...

Newbie seeking glider purchase advice by
Ted Wagner
I'm a new glider pilot, having just switched my FAI air sport of choice
after 23 years of leaping out of airplanes.
By this summer it is almost certain I'll be purchasing my own glider. I'm
interested in having fun, cross-country (eventually competing), and having
fun, in that order.
I've read...

GENESIS 2 RECOMMENDATION by
Gordon Schubert
Lennie:
It's not going into the box at night, it's going into
a hanger, so you don't have to worry.
I'm not sure what you mean about my L33.

Mid-Air at Turf Soaring by
Herbert Kilian
This morning I read in the Chicago Tribune about a mid-air between a
2-33 and a Piper Cub at Turf Soaring in AZ. Each aircraft was
carrying two passengers, all died in the crash.
Does anybody have more detailed information on the accident or links
to articles in the Phoenix press?

Mylar tape wing seals - effect on wing performance by

I tried asking this questionon on a different thread; it may have been too
off topic, but I didn't get much of a response:
I'm putting mylar control surface seals on the wings of a Mini Nimbus this
winter. At the moment I'm planning on fixing them to the finished wing
surface. The alternative is...
