ELT in LS-8b by
Paul
The LS8b has a carbon fuse to allow the extra weight of the turbo engine.
Also made as a pure glider with the turbo as a later option. The LS8a has
the glass fuse.

helicopter tug glider launch by
M B
The regs seem to simply require experience while'towing a glider with an aircraft' and the U.S.regs don't seem to care what kind of aircraftis used. Tow with a blimp? Don'tthose things go something like maybe twentyknots tops? While towing gliders I've been quite concernedabout my 'noodle.' Yes...

That price Ian gave and trust of 42 lbs. was before the motor was completed.
The ad even says available this fall. Its on Jet Cat USA web page, and its a
old ad. I have been in touch with the dealer and the price is about $3200 bucks
and the Jet Cat P200 now produces 50 lbs of thrust. There are...

Tow Rope Take-Up Reels by
Nyal Williams
Does anyone have knowledge of approved reels for retracting tow ropes
to the towplane after glider release? I have only heard of this and
never actually encountered their use. They would be useful for
avoiding trees, wires, fences, ILS approach antennae, etc.

Parts Needed by
Jim Phoenix
The 2-22 rudder is perfectly and physically identical to a 1-26 round tail
rudder. They may even be the same part number. I would suspect the vertical
is the same as well, but I have not personally verified the verticals.

NETTO Question by
Shoulbe
What does the term Netto stand for? Is it an acronym or some sort of
abbreviation? I'm not asking for an explanation of it in theory or in use I'd
just like to know from where the term derives.

European Delivery by
Steve B
Has anybody picked up their glider in Europe and flown it prior to
shipping?
I am curious if it can be done without any expensive registration or
tax in the country that it was manufactured in.
Hey... as long as it is there in the middle of the summer and ready to
fly... why not?

Anyone had experience in Dec, Jan, Feb in this tri-states corner of the
