Need tail wheel assembly by
MNLou
I need to replace the entire pneumatic tail wheel unit on my 2006 LAK17AT - bearings, rim, tube, and tire.
Does anyone have a source they could recommend?
Thanks in advance!
Lou - cross posted from the LAK17 Yahoo Group

Recent FAAST safety Team email by

I get these all the time, but rarely see them posted here. Please note the exceptions for gliders, and the resulting cautionary statements.

Cambridge GPS-NAV Aero Explorer error on log download by
Eric Foertsch[_2_]
I have a Cambridge GPS-NAV. I am trying to download a flight log. It looks like the Aero Explorer software is reading it from the GPS-NAV ok, but then a dialog box pops up with an error msg "Error writing flight log to disk."
I was able to download logs earlier this year, but was running on a...

ASW-20C by
Charles Longley
I purchased a 1/2 share of an ASW-19 this year and have really enjoyed it! Long term I’ve determined I would like an ASW-20C possibly an ASW-27.
Is there an ASW-20 group online? Does anyone know of an ASW-20C not being flown right now? (In the US)
Thanks!

Glideplan for Windows 2.0 beta 6 Broken? - Can't print maps by
WaltWX[_2_]
I'm one of the few people who still prints maps with Glideplan for contests, importing Cup files and colorizing.
After setting everything up the way I like for the Std Nats at TSA... the function SET PRINT AREA, necessary to print out multiple sheets is broken.
Tested on my Desktop PC Win7, a...

Locating device mounting by
[email protected]
Recent descriptions of the Nephi accident are driving me to rethink my decision about location of my Spot in the ship.
I have had it mounted on the canopy frame to try to get the best view of the sky for tracking. It kind of gets in the way a little when on the chute harness.
My assumption has been...

Dream Panel by
2G
As you may already know, I am ordering a new ASH31Mi. I am in the process of coming up with the panel layout and instrument selection. I would love to here from other pilots what they consider to be their dream panel (cost is not an issue).

Flarm data on iglide by
[email protected]
Is there a configuration file that I need to make the contest numbers show up with the flarm data in iGlide? I see the traffic, altitude, etc, but I’m getting the ICAO designator instead of the contest number. I believe you have to configure the displays separately from the core, but does...

If you are a pilot with a US license living in Europe and would like to be able to fly here without converting your license or spending a ton of money to bring a glider from the US, I have a classic Aer Pegaso M100S standard class Italian glider for sale, US registered, standard airworthiness....

Sorry to report my dear friend Ray Galloway (papa one) checked out (peacefully) last night. I talked with him a couple of days ago. He said he was "ready", but it is still hard on his friends and family. Ed Byars

Wgc's by
Paul T[_4_]
What is disappointing is how the new handicaps have played out in Club
Class - now to be competitive it looks like you need to buy a ship costing
at
least 10k more than you would have had previously. Way to go FAI with
your constant efforts to turning soaring into a 'rich persons sport',...

Capacity flask sizes for older PZL and Winter varios. by
[email protected]
One of the varios just failed in my older glider. The Winter 5m/s is kaput. There's also a 1m/s unit that appears to be working. Both are from 1963.
A friend gave me a PZL 10kt unit that appears to be working. He can't remember what it came out of.
Anyone have specs on these older units? I would...

Glider on ESPN at German Gran Prix by
[email protected]
Anyone else catch the Glider thermalling low over Hockenheimring yesterday morning, during German Gran Prix free practice 2?
Kudos to Paul di Resta of ESPN for knowing and explaining to the viewers how the glider uses the hot air rising up off the the track.
