Source for labels for dollies etc? by
Dave Nadler
I need about a zillion different sized "YO" labels for all the dollies, tow contraptions, stands, stands for stands, rigging aids, fuel tanks, water tanks, and miscellaneous paraphernalia for the new glider. Can anybody recommend a good source of such labels?
Thanks,
See ya, Dave

2016 SSA convention, So how did we do? by
[email protected]
SF, the Spartanburg club did a great job with the convention.
1. The facility, which I will always know as the "Textile Hall", because that was what it was originally called, provided room for everything. I didn't see anybody squeezed in to a space too small. As other folks have said, the...

2016 SSA convention, So how did we do? by
Tom (2N0)
Excellent job!
Exhibit hall:
1. Lots of space and a great lay out for the gliders.
2. The RVs were not out of place (and they had some great deals)
3. The exhibitors were spread out enough that you had to go to visit them all to see who was there.
4. I think the exhibit hall would have been worth...

Breakers as Switches - Good Idea? by
Six-Seven Romeo
I often see GA and gliders that use breakers as switches. Is this such a good idea? Are breakers rated to be used as switches? These aircraft usually, but not always, have at least a master switch.
Our tow plane uses Tyco W31 series breakers which incorporate bat handles and are designed to be...

Dry vs. wet sanding by
[email protected]
Is there any reason that PPG concept can't be sanded dry? I need to knock down some bad orange peel (because I'm still learning how to paint). I was thinking about using some 500 to knock down most of the orange peel, and then move to finer grits (wet) take out the sanding scratches before...

I'm not going to the convention this year but our former operator and airport manager, Roy Coulliette will be there. I would love some calls with any feedback on lectures and discussions and a FaceTime call from the display floor would be fantastic. Feel free to include me if you want.

For the first time since 2008, the Region 1 contest is being hosted in Springfield, Vt over the two-weekend period of 24-26 June and 1-4 July.
Why over two weekends you may ask? So more people who can't take vacation for the full week can participate!
What if you want to come out all week? Tows...

Minden hanger for rent by
xcnick
It is a square hanger so an assembled 15 meter wing will fit corner to corner. Hate to see it go to a power plane which can fit a T hanger.

Glider hanger dolly for sale - US by
[email protected]
I made one more of these than I needed to. Note, this particular design is specifically made without casters, so it is not designed to turn, but it is very low profile.

My MicroAir radio has quit transmitting voice. You can hear carrier, but nothing else. I tried a different mic but no help. Anyone know where there is a repair shop that works on them?
