Delorme inReach Rebate? by
Dan[_6_]
Did anyone else buy an inReach at the SSA Convention?
I did and was supposed to get a $50 rebate.
I've called Delorme twice and gotten nice words but no action.
Still no rebate.
Anyone else received their rebate?
Dan

Trying to contact Brian Lansburgh by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I am trying to contact Brian Lansburgh to order more Dawn Flight DVDs. He
formerly ran a glider operation at www.sunriversoaring.com. The web site is
still working but I can't seem to contact him.
He was the producer or director of the soaring film "Dawn Flight" and had
made the...

Sectionals for GlidePlan by
2KA
I've recently acquired the capability to make updated sectionals that can be used with GlidePlan. Kinda. Right now it is a pretty manual process that takes me about an hour or so for each one. I'm trying go gauge how much interest still remains in that program to see if it would be worth the...

Model 20 OLC issues by
Peter von Tresckow
So I am relatively new to my Cambridge model 20, and I tried submitting the
trace from the logger to the OLC. I followed the instructions on the clear
nav page using their converter tool, but still got the red V.
Anyone else have the same issue or have an idea where I went wrong?
Thanks
Peter

CAI 302 volume control problem - have others tried this? by
Mads
Hello.
I have a CAI 302 with a problem. During a flight yesterday it turned the volume to max by itself - and there is no way to turn it down again.
It had the problem 1 year ago also. I send it to repair, but when it got to the repair shop the problem had gone away, so nothing was fixed. I do...

MH4 oxy flowmeter by
Ian Cant[_5_]
After a couple of years parked, my flowmeter has lost its ball. I think
it's just stuck at the bottom of the tube. Needle valve still regulates
oxy flow, but no way to read the rate. Is this common, is it fixable, or
must I replace the unit?

Kudos to out Paragliding Brothers by
vontresc
Just saw this on the interwebs this morning. A paraglider pilot managed to finally complete a 300km triangle in the alps.
http://www.xcmag.com/2014/06/thomas-walder-flies-first-paraglider-300km-fai-triangle/
Pretty impressive for something with slightly better than half the L/D of a 1-26 :-)

1-26 ers at it again by
[email protected]
The top two OLC point-getters in the US for June 6th were both 1-26 guys in California. Doug Levy and George Powell posted flights of 544 km and 415 km. Pretty cool.

Need help with LX7007Compact connected to FLARM by
GM
Ok - this one is for all of you flight computer savvy guys in US-glider land because I for sure am at the end of my whits.
Here is the set-up:
I bought a used LX7007Compact. This is the one which does not have its own GPS receiver, so it needs an external source.
I also do have a PowerFLARM core...

Kevin Christner's question about unplanned releases from tow... by
Bill Nockles
Hello Ken,
In 51 years of soring I have had two unplanned terminations from a tow.
Both took place in the 70's.
In 1973 while on tow in a Std Libelle the tow rope quietly released from
the nose hook (Tost). I had done nothing to precipitate this release ...no
hand on the release, no banging the...

Two seater CG question by
Karl Striedieck[_2_]
Anyone know why the Duo (and supposedly other Doppelsetzers) have the same minimum front seat weight with or without a person in the back seat?
The rear seat moment arm has about 1/4th the effect compared to the front, so I would think a 200 pounder in the rear would reduce the front min weight by...
