From DrDan Johnson -- a clear essay on how Covid-19 is spread by

This isn't about soaring, but it would affect our activity at the airfield to read and act on this. It's factual, with examples, and is actionable.

Boy Who Flew With Condors - Dick Johnson? Other Comments by
ContestID67
I finally got around to watching this 1967 movie which I bought on
eBay more than a month ago. It was surprisingly well done. Not that
Walt ever put out a bad product, his production values were always top
notch. However, when the popular media shows soaring, I often see
realism and accuracy go...

Which 18m FES sailplane to buy? by
[email protected]
I'm considering the purchase of an 18m FES equipped sailplane, and would like to hear thoughts and opinions about the various options available. I'm seeking a cross country machine with long legs and a highly reliable sustainer. An 18m FES sailplane should fit that requirement nicely.
I'm a...

Minnesota Downwind Dash! by
Tony[_5_]
Barry Yeager and Dick Andrews launched this morning at 10 AM (10 AM!!!) from Fairbault. They are about to cross I-80 in Iowa as of 12:30. They are flying Barry's Arcus M. My understanding is the goal is 750km just east of St Louis which ought to be good for a multiplace distance to declared goal...

Glider zoom meeting background by

Want to be inside the cockpit flying when on a zoom call? You can use this background of my Astir (I know). You can always make your own for your glider. Makes it look like you are in the cockpit flying during the video conference call....

OLC/ Open Distance meet Odessa Tx? by
Nick Kennedy[_3_]
Hey all
I've always been intrigued by Wally Scott and Co and all the open distance flights they did.
Would pilots be interested in having a meet at Odessa or ? and have a OLC contest and then when the stars aligned go for it downwind?
What do you guys think?
I'd sure like to do 700-800+...

I am looking at getting an electric rigger for a DG-800S 15/18m.

Can anyone advise on the differences between the two?
Are there any others out there that I should be checking out?
Does anyone have a used one...
