Parachute Repack Calculator by
Walt Connelly
I was looking for a good way to determine when my chute would need a repack and came across this. Always thought that it would be good if the rigger provided the date when the re-rig would be required but I don't see it on my card.

Volkslogger Problem by
jcarlyle
I was clearing the memory on my Volkslogger prior to flight, and
suddenly the display froze in mid-count. Turned it off, and had no
display at all when power was restored.
Is my Volklogger a paperweight, or is there a remedy someone knows of?
Besides shipping it to Garrecht, that is…

Saturday practice at Hobbs NM by
Dave Nadler
Hi Guys - I arrived in Hobbs Friday afternoon after driving 2,222 miles.
Since I've only flown the Antares once since the Seniors in March
(564km from Sterling MA up to Belvidere VT and return) I wanted to
get in a decent flight and knock some rust off.
Perhaps you will find this...

Clearing out Moisture from Instrumentation Lines by
KevinFinke
Working on my glider last night, and noticed that my static lines seem
to be more hazy than the others. It looks like there is a very fine
film of moisture on the tubing. I'm going to be putting in moisture/
filter traps on the lines, but before I do that, is there a
recommended way of drying them...

Hi,
I sell many of Derek Piggott's wonderful published soaring books from my web

Now I have a request for his booklet "Ground Launches". I suspect that it
is self published. I'd like to contact him directly. Can anyone supply his

I got to see another GLIDER in the air! by
Grider Pirate
Okay, so most of you probably see others all the time, but I don't!
On Saturday I was coming back to my airport (Jean, 0L7) when I spotted
another glider near the golf course south of Primm, NV. I was really
jazzed to note that it wasn't a Jean glider! A little later I got in
touch with him on...

Hi all,
I'm planning a trip next summer to the USA from Australia, from May

here and having a friend keep it for me until I arrive, then shipping
it out of the US at the end of the trip. I already have a specific
glider in mind....

Reprofiling LS6 wings by
Ben C
Hi all,
Given that down the track I will need to refinish my wings, I am
curious about
the process. I understand that LS/DG will not provide profile
information to
allow accurate reprofiling of the wings. Is it standard practice to
just
reinstate the profile that the wing had prior to refinish?...
