Weekday operations in NYC by
ucsdcpc[_2_]
Hi,
I'm coming over to the US for a few days in August, staying near
Rochester NYC, I suspect I'm not going to be around at the weekend so
was wondering if any of the glider clubs in the area operate on
weekdays? I spotted Finger Lakes Soaring as seemingly the closest,
but I think they are...

Mackay, Idaho soaring safari by
TDixon
Due to recent cancellations we have room for more gliders during our
trip to Mackay, ID from 7/26 to 8/09. There is room at the nearby RV
park. We will have our Scout tow plane at the airport during those
dates. Please contact me for more information if you would like to
join us.

Standard Jantar 48-3 & One-Man Assembly by
John[_27_]
I am considering a one-man to assist in the assembly - I figure it
will work but since the wings are a bit bigger than other gliders I
assist with assembly, I'm curious if other jantar-drivers use a one-
man and comments on how it works if they do.
Thanks in advance,
John

Auto Launching: Truck types, etc by
Scott Alexander[_2_]
What kind of auto or truck have you seen launch a sailplane with?
Would a Dodge Ram 1500 4X4 do the trick?
What are the requirements to become endorsed for auto launching?
What are the recommended rope lengths and types of pulley's for a 3900
ft runway?

Which hand do I use on the stick of my Stemme by
kd6veb
Hi Gang
There is another current thread on the Taurus concerning from which
seat does the PIC usually fly and which hand is on the stick. Well the
Stemme poses similar questions. On takeoff from the left seat I use my
left hand on the stick with right hand on the throttle. Landing right
hand on...

FSG 40 720 channel Dittel radio for sale by
goneill
The FSG 40 is a 720 channel panel radio identical to the later model
60/60m/70 and 71 models in size .
The freq selection is via manual two level knobs without any preselection
buttons, that came in the later models.
There are many FSG40 radios still in glider panels because Dittel make top
quality...

Something I'm curious about the Pipistrel Taurus by
EvValentin808
I've seen many videos and images and noticed something strange, the pilots of the Taurus's sit on the co-pilot's seat rather than sitting in the left-side traditionally... Is there something that has to do with the design have to do with this factor?

Can the Stemme S10-VT be installed with a Ballistic Rescue Parachute? by
EvValentin808
Being in ways, "obsessed" with the high-tech $300,000 motorglider for years, I've always wondered if a BRS can be installed. After reading about a similar glider, the Pipistrel Taurus, which has a BRS installed, I thought can the Stemme do the same to boost safety?!
beause you still have to wear...

SeeYou Mobile contest start bug by

Last year I noticed that if you are flying a contest start and you
exit the start cylinder through the top the latest version of SeeYou
Mobile doesn't start the task correctly. I pointed this out to the
SeeYou team in January at the convention and they said a new release
would fix the...

LX7007 Contest Task Issues by
fcnorton
I'm frustrated. Flying with the LX 7007 with the 2.01 upgrade (?) (I
sent into LX last fall to upgrade).
I'm flying my first contest at Air Sailing and today I got scored with
an "NVS" (not valid start). It was a 5 mile cylinder with a 11K top
and I KNOW that I was within limits when I started. ...
