XCSoar opinion by
Andres[_2_]
I'm getting into XC flying and I would like to get opinions on the use
of XCSoar for navigation. Is it useful, reliable, is it worth using
etc? Thanks in advance.

Suction cup mounts by
Ed Winchester[_2_]
As I mentioned in a different thread, I use a PNA with XCSoar in the
cockpit. I have been mounting this with one of Paul Remde's big suction
cup mounts, and it has worked fine, only rarely coming loose in flight
(as long as I lick around the edge when applying it). But that's been
in thermal...

XCSoar "H Baro" info box by
Uncle Fuzzy
I can't get XCSoar to display Baro altitude. The info box will
display, but the baro altitude always shows 0. I'm pretty sure the
Cambridge 302 is putting pressure altitude out in the NMEA stream. I
haven't had much luck with the XCSoar Nabble forum lately.
TIA

Fun with Puchacz video by
JC
A friend put this on youtube. It´s pretty fuzzy because it was taken
with a still camera but it´s not too bad.

IPAQ 310 12V charger by
[email protected]
Just bought a charger on ebay for $4.99.
Works great and charges the unit even at full brightness.
Still messing with the bluetooth serial connector, will report when I
have that completed.
Cheers

FAA PTS "Slips to Landing" requirement vs No-spoiler landings by
kirk.stant
The past few weekends I've been watching some our our club students
being instructed on and practicing slips to a landing (i.e."no spoiler
landings") in preparation for their Private check rides. Gliders used
were our 2-33 and Blanik. I've also seen no-spoiler landings being
demonstrated in our...

Waypoint database by
Don[_4_]
Within the last couple months, someone posted information about a
website where you could identify an airport and then select a mileage
radius and the program would produce a .txt listing of all the airports
within that radius. I saved it but soon after my computer crashed and I
can't find...
