Boeing Fuel Cell Plane Flies At Last! by
sisu1a
Here is a link to an article about the first manned fuel cell flight.
It has been in the works for some time, and wonderful to see it coming
to fruition: http://www.gizmag.com/first-manned-fuel-cell-plane-flight/9117/
For those who don't know, Boeing converted a Dimona motorglider to
have an...

Second O-ring on a triple source probe - how to replace? by
AK
Does anyone have any experience in replacing the second O-ring in a
triple source socket? I am not talking about the third small O-ring
but the second O-ring which is the same as the first. Taking it out
was not difficult but putting a new one in might be a different story.
I thought there might be...

Barnstormer's Briegleb BG-12 For Sale (also advertised on WandW) by
cursingcomputers
Anybody out there know who might have wound up with this plane?
Lukasz Barowicz was in the listing, but he referred all inquiries to
Joe Bennis. I made a deal with Joe Bennis and bought it. Then a few
weeks later I got my money back along with a bit of B.S. about the
seller deciding not to sell....

Utility program for PDA by
Oscar Goudriaan
I had a utility program that I downloaded ( I think fro the camdridge site)
that displays the nmea data received from a logger on the PDA for diagnostic
purposes.
I lost data on my computer, and with it this program. Does anyone have a
copy or can anyone remember the name of the .exe file, so I...

Former Racing Pilot? by
Ken Kochanski (KK)
Who is the hulk on this road bike ... somebody said he was once a
pudgy sailplane racer who almost won the 15M Nats at Mifflin in an
LS-6 one year.

FlipFlopping (more trailer crap) by
sisu1a
In the spirit of upcoming elections and in the finest traditions
politics, I have a total flipflop/turnaround on one of my recently
posted opinions. (though admittedly probably not as amusing as McCain
announcing that he suddenly decided MLK Day is actually is a good idea
after all, but I...

Wingmate ?? by
[email protected]
Browsing this group seems to indicate that the Wingmate is no longer
built, so, I'm thinking of building one myself.
I trust Chip won't be offended.
If you have one, I'd be interested in learning what dimensions Chip
used . i.e. Aluminium box section size and wall thickness, and length
of each...

Trailer decision time. by
[email protected]
The trailer for the Cherokee has always been so-so. Its an old
Gehrlein (sp?) that was probably purchased new when the glider was
built in 1965. Its the EXACT same type of trailer that Glub
Djerjinksi used for his Open Cirrus in the Sunship Games. its heavy,
really long, and pretty old. I had...

Glider Classifieds? by
sisu1a
Are there glider classifieds on rec.soaring yet/anymore? I have not
been able to access them since the big meltdown, so if there is a new
address for it, or any info I would appreciate being in the know, as
I'm sure many others would (in case they are as lame as me and have
not found it...

Latch repair on Cobra trailer by
Tuno
I've managed to do minor damage to my new Cobra trailer already :(
One of the clamshell latches snagged on something during ground
maneuvering and pulled hard enough to pop the bottom rivet. Upon
closer inspection, I found the factory used a bolt for the top, which
held firm, but I cannot replace...

Free RICO Variometer by
John Murphy
I replaced the RICO variometer that came with the G102 I bought a few
years ago. I believe it still works, and I have a manual. I don't
have the tubes and assorted flasks that came with it. If anyone wants
it, it is free to a good home. All you need to do is pay shipping,
which will probably be...

gas struts by
Phillip LaBerge
I have the original Comet trailer that came with my ASW-20A and the
original gas struts on the trailer. Anyone know where to get
replacement struts (the clamshell is sagging now) without having to
take out a loan to buy new ones from Germany?
