CG Hook Location Computation by
[email protected]
When the aircraft manf has not done the research or made any
recommendations - how is the location for a CG hook computed?
One example - the SGS 2-33 installations I have seen (not factory) seem
to be far ahead of the actual CG.

If you're interested ;) you can watch some movies from wave flying over

More lies from SSA by
[email protected]
NO.1 At the end of 2006 it was my time to pay my SSA dues, so I also
asked to renew my sporting license (1hr later and after B.S. with three
people I got "NO")(so much for cutoff date Jan 1, 2007)
NO.2 Now it costs $45 for a NAA sporting license, how much was it
before? It had to be $ 0 since our...

PIC logging question by
Roger Worden
Can you clarify for me the FAR definition of "pilot-in-command time" and
"flights as pilot in command" ?
Regarding the commercial pilot certificate with a glider rating,
61.129(f)(1) requires at least 100 flights in a glider as pilot in command.
Regarding logging pilot-in-command flight time,...

Excel Flightlog by
Sally W
Some (most?) of you are in u.r.a.s as well so know
about this. Anyway, I did an Excel spreadsheet that
I use as a version of my flightlog that can add up
- I can't! If anyone is interested I can email a stripped-out
version along with a readme.txt.

Soaring Chillies Calendars by
Steve Leonard
Did anyone else in the US order one? I did, and it
seems the postal service between here and there has
eaten both shipments. The second set was shipped about
a month ago, and still nothing. I have typically gotten
things quicker than this, so I fear the second set
has also been lost.
Anyone...

Glider Re-finishing by
Ian K
Can anyone give a comparison between Glider Service in Slovenia, and
Refinish in Poland?
Costs are within spitting distance, so looking for ease of communication,
quality of finish, follow up service and all those other things that make
you choose a over b.
Cheers

I've been receiving a lot of requests for standard cables for connecting it
to a PDA - so I created some. You can see a few complete example systems...

DG-1000 Tail Battery Connector. Where to get one? by
Jeremy Zawodny
The tail battery in the DG-1000 (and probably the 500/505) use a funky
connector that's a bit smaller than a cigarette lighter plug. It snaps
in place and holds on tight.
Here are a few pics:

Sustainer engine ignition noise (Solo2350) by
Per
Having a Solo 2350 on a Ventus 2cT, I've been annoyed that when it runs it
constantly triggers the squelsh of the VHF-radio. (No, raising the trigger
level doesn't do the trick)
It is possible to use the radio with the squelsh turned off and using a
headset. This makes the noiselevel even...
