Phoenix Arizona airspace by
Andy
If you fly in SW USA you may be interested in proposed changes to the
Phoenix Class B airspace. See my posting to the ASA group for
information. Please consider contacting AOPA and SSA with your
opinion.

I'm looking for a GPS solution on tight budget for my iPAQ 3630.
What i need is

I got the freeware - flyWithCE (even though i never had the chance to try
it).
What i want is a ligthweigt and compact kit that's easy to...

Soaring units in Great Britain by
Jack Glendening
I am making some experimental soaring forecasts for Great
Britain and realized that I don't know the units being used
there as don't know how far metrification has gone. Are
airplane altitudes reported in feet? Are wind speeds in
knots? Are temperatures in Fahrenheit?

Training by
Ruski
I am interested in getting back into soaring, its been 24 years since I
soloed at age 16. My job constraints keep me busy and my days off are
usually during the week. It seems most club flying is on the weekend
which means taking off work, if I can get it, to go soar. I'm looking
into taking a two...

OLC and airspace by
5Z
This is primarily aimed at US pilots, but certainly applies to us
all...
The latest issue od Soaring magazine has a well written editorial by
Dennis Wright about our responsibilities of avoiding airspace that
requires permission to enter. On page 13 there's an article if
interest to any of us...

Theft among friends by
bumper
A friend recently told me that his Cobra trailer had been broken into while
parked for several months at an Arizona glider port.
The thief, used a key to open and then relock the trailer (no surprise here,
my Cobra trailer key fits his trailer too - - I'm innocent in this case
though). The only...

$4.04 per gallon at Hilton Head by
Guy Byars
Just tanked up at Hilton Head SC. They charged me $3.85 per gallon of
100LL, and then added on a 5% "fuel tax". Works out to $4.04 per gallon.
Ouch, a new high.
Now that I am back home, I am going to top off with mogas... $2.10 seems
cheap now.

T.E. Probe Question by
KP
Hi All
My ship has a multi probe. When the ship is sitting on its tailwheel
the the probe is level with the ground. And the T.E. part of the probe
is straight up and down. When the ship is flying in a somewhat level
flight attitude the probe must be pointing down in respect to flight
attitude. And...

Used L-23's? by
[email protected]
Anyone aware of any used 2 place Blanik, esp. an L-23 available or not
being flown in the US?
The exchange rate has increased the price of a factory new L-23 almost
1/3 this year. Not interested in any rebuilt or refurbished
"experimental" category.
Thanks for any steerage or suggestions.

LAK-12 Fit and Parts by
WDM
Several Questions:
I am looking for feedback size of the 12s cockpit. I hear that pilots
5'10" tp 5"11 fit OK with the seatback at the aft position. For
taller pilots, can the seatback be removed and is it practical or
comfortable?
Anyone out there flying with the seatback removed. If so, how...
