Aluminum top Cobra trailers leaks - how frequent? by
AK
A few people told me that their Cobra trailers with aluminum tops
developed leaks. I wonder how frequent this problem is. Obviously
aluminum top is nice to keep it looking good, but one of the the
purposes of a trailer is too keep the glider inside dry. In New
England we sometimes get 4 inches of...

Sunlight readable PNAs sold with faulty GPS for flight by
PCool
Dear all,
On the internet there are plenty of announces concerning 5 inches PNAs for
flight, expecially on Alibaba.
People should be warned that these units will not currently report a correct
position while turning in the air with an aircraft.
It is a much worst problem than the HP31x, because...

SSA Convention ideas by
bildan
I agree with the sentiment that every two years is too long.
How about choosing a location near the middle of the country to host
the convention for at least three years running? I'm told by experts
on the subject booking three years running opens the possibility of
big discounts for the floor...

Cordele, Georgia, Report Sunday 13 May 07 by
Ray Lovinggood
The smoke from the wildfires had cleared out and we
were treated to the famous South Georgia skies of many
legends. Bases were from 6,000' to 7,000' and average
lift was probably around 5 knots with reports of higher.
Today we had the official practice day. Tasks were
called for all four classes...

U.S. so the power plug is for us in the U.S. I now have it back in my

Chinese sailplanes...? by
Robert Bates
OK, folks - got a question here. Are there any sailplane manufacturers in
China? I have found obscure FAA references to a Shenyang HU-1 Seagull and
HU-2 Petrel, but nothing more on the actual gliders other than a reference
to the Shenyang Sailplane Factory on a German historical aviation...
