XC Dynamic Soaring along cloud streets by Evan Ludeman[_4_]
Why aren't we all doing this? http://youtu.be/Ln9fuR8uwIc?t=36m48s I'd give it a try if I thought I understood what the nature of the shear is that is being exploited and how to work it. I am inclined to think that whatever the nature of this "longitudinal shear", it isn't terribly commonplace,...

FLARM, ADS-B, Transponder made easy?? by [email protected]
Like to fly at both TSA (Dallas - Fort Worth) and Moriarty (ABQ). MY heirs worry more about me hitting an airliner than another glider. Have high end avionics in the Piper (Garmin 750 with ADS-B in and out), but Piper display does not seem like it would help much in a situation like near cloud...

Spot 2 by Whiskey Delta
Anyone flying with the new Spot 2? There are 2 color options, the traditional orange/black and a new silver/black. Have problems with reflections on the canopy with either of these been an issue and is one preferable to the other? Thanks!

Les Sparks and the Woodstock homepage? by [email protected]
The "unofficial woodstock homepage" has been out of service for a while now. I'm wondering if Les still has the files and might allow me to revive it. If Les isn't reading RAS perhaps someone out there can hook me up with him. Thanks, Matt Michael

Polyurethane finish? by Uniform Zulu
I recently purchased a glider which was refinished in polyurethane and I'm wondering what is the best way to look after the finish? Should I put something like wxblock on it or just use a good automotive wax? should it be hard waxed and buffed like gel coat? What about fixing any problem areas?...

No wing runner? by JJ Sinclair
OK, you just landed at a deserted strip and called for an aero- retrieve, but there's nobody around to run your wing. Been there, done that, and it wasn't pretty! I put the right wing down and aimed the fuselage 30 degrees left of runway heading, hooked up the rope, climbed in and crossed my...
