Cordless headsets........... by
[email protected]
Hi,
I am looking for some sort of portable headset intercom system to talk clearly between front and rear occupant of a glider. This can become quite difficult on aerotow in a fabric glider covered for example.
I know there is a Sigtronics type 2 place intercom that I could use to hook up two sets...

Part Needed by
Roger Fowler[_3_]
I just had the spring break in the L'Hotelliere fitting on a spoiler
control on an LS4. Anyone know where I can find a replacement before the
contest next weekend?
BTW, I have never heard of this failure before. Has anyone else ever seen
one? (I'm trying to figure out if I should replace all...

Wax by
Boise Pilot
I know this has been discussed before, would like to know what wax to use on a sailplane finished in acrylic paint. Would prefer to use one that does not require a buffer.

Metric Instruments by
Roy Bourgeois
This may be a silly question - but are all metric altimeters
configured with 'Zero at 6 O'clock' as I saw in France?
I did not have trouble converting to meters/kilometers
but I did have trouble quickly reading the altimeter
with the zero at the bottom of the instrument face
(especially on the...

How important are aileron gap seals? by
soartech[_2_]
What is lost without them? One point of glide? What about sink rate?
Is this just for racers? My glider does not have them.
Does anyone have any facts on this?
Thanks.

700 agl / 1 mile finish by
Evan Ludeman[_4_]
Man, what a pain in the ass at Mifflin.
Returning on the back side of Jacks with weak ridge and no thermals, you leave the ridge at 1900-2000 because you *cannot* get higher and fly through a ton of sink (netto 4 - 6 kts down is common). The closest point of the ridge to the edge of the finish...

Interesting behavior from PowerSonic battery by
Steve Leonard[_2_]
I have two 6 volt and one 2 volt PowerSonic cells in series to make a 14 volt pack for one of my sailplanes. I had one of the batteries go bad, so I did a little checking to see which one. All showed appropriate charge voltage when not loaded, however, one battery went from 6.2 volts no load, to...

Motorgliders on OLC? by
WAVEGURU
I would like to see how many points the motorglider guys would end up scoring if their motor was rendered unavailable after launch. A friend of mine couldn't get his motor started one day, so he took an aero tow, and his flying was much different that day. It's just not the same when you know...

Especially liked the "lighter than air glider" bit. I'd have liked to be lighter than air a couple of times last week....

Following suggestions in Soaring, I am trying to use the Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick with Condor 1.1.5 and Win 7. The control of sensitivity is not sufficient for success with the Flight Training turning exercise.
Is there a Logitech driver needed, or is there a way of setting Condor Inputs...
