all-weather covers from Kerry Cover Co. Ltd. by
Peter Scholz[_3_]
I came across the home page of Kerry Cover in China,
www.kerry-cover.com
They offer all weather covers for a quite interesting rate. I wonder if
someone has been in business contact with them and is willing to share
his experiences re. quality, delivery time, etc.
Thanks,

Tow planes and ADS-B Out by
Larry Ruggiero
I realize our operational environments are varied, but what’s the trend for equipping tow planes with ADS-B out? The broad requirement distilled down is that it’s “required in airspace where transponders are required,” which for us is pretty rare. There are relatively easy/cheap (by...

Hi,
Any HPH304s owners (with Fes would be excellent) out there willing to share their experience with that bird?
Not much interested in performance , more comfort, easy of handling and suitability for low time pilot.
Post sales service etc.
I will much appreciate it.

Soaring in or around Maidenhead UK by
John Huthmaker
I am heading to England this afternoon for work. I'll be staying in Maidenhead for about a week. If I have any free time, it would be awesome to get in the air. Can anyone recommend a place I could get some glider time in that would be relatively nearby?

Cobra Trailer lights converting to 4-way flat--Help by
Retting
Got a new Cobra with a 7-blade. My vehicles use 4-way flat.
I was initially going to cut and install a 4way on the trailer, but hate to cut brand new plus thought if I install a combi on the vehicle I could tow others if a need arise. So, I find a vehicle combi at Lowe's, connect everything and...

Cobra trailer tail lights replacement? by
John Bojack J4
Looking to replace the factory/European style tail lights.
Although attractive (??) I think they can be confusing for USA drivers following behind it.
Any suggestions for improvement and/or making them more USA "friendly"? And also wiring them for USA vehicles.
I have seen several trailers...

Eccentric cam wing assembly tools by
[email protected]
Steve Bralla used to make and sell tools used to help align the wing spar pin bushings during assembly. He contacted me recently and said he had lost access to the machine shop. He graciously offered me the opportunity to take over the product line, and I am now in production. I will add them to my...

I have seen some beautiful setups with nice antenna holders for the powerflarm brick. Where do you buy these or are they built by the owners? Any tips would be welcomed.

Property Tax on gliders in California? by
Mark Navarre
Have received a letter from the tax assessor requesting location and value info
on my glider for the purpose of property tax assessment. I am curious, why
now? Since I have owned the glider almost 5 years already, I wonder if it took
that long for the County/State to catch up on the paperwork.
The...

Launch point logging software flight accounting by
stevehaley
Like many clubs mine blows hot and cold on using launchpoint logging
software.
At present we have a legacy system handling flight recording from
paper records taken at the launch point with a link to our accounting
system which was written by a club member who left some time ago and
the system...

Glider Wheel Brakes by
[email protected]
I know, I know. BTDT. Has anyone purchased a NEW sailplane lately,
and been happy with the wheel brake? The ONLY glider I've ever flown
with a decent (not great, but decent) wheel brake is the LVVSA's G103
Twin Astir. For me, a GREAT brake will REQUIRE moderation on my part
to keep from grinding...

Soaring safaris by
flying_monkey
OK, it's the time of year to talk about soaring instead of doing it
here in the Northeast, so I'll ask this question. If a person was just
bursting to go soaring this time of year or up to the early spring,
maybe get some XC or badge legs, where would be the ideal place to go?
If it's not all the...

Parachute repack questions by
Bill Daniels
I'm going to watch my parachute get repacked this evening. The local Master
Rigger is teaching a rigging class and I'm invited to watch him repack my
'chute in front of the class.
Can I ask him any questions for r.a.s.?

Be ready for the worst! by
Ed Byars
Be ready for the worst:
I totaled my ASW-28 last summer. The next day while I was "out of it" in the
hospital, the Feds (FAA-FISDO not the NTSB {because I didn't get killed I
guess}) inspected the damaged glider and removed all paperwork and my
smashed PDA. A few weeks later they returned all by...
