soaring photos on-line by
[email protected]
I've expanded the soaring section of my web site, including posting
some of my favorite photos taken while soaring. The soaring page itself
is at
http://www-ee.stanford.edu/~hellman/soaring.html
It has a general description of soaring including a list of FAQ's I put
together. That page will be...

Emfo vs. Jaxida covers by
faadpe
I have a Dynon EFIS in my Nimbus 3, 26m. I have been cloud flying for
almost 10+ yrs in Florida...all legal, there are a lot of
misconceptions of this...but according to the current FAR, in the USA
cloud flying is legal.
With the EFIS, I have a Tru-Trak T&B, however, the preferred T&B is
always a...

anyone who got new license this year in u.s.? by
Alan
My application for a permanent PP license was submitted using IACRA.
The temporary certification expires in 120 days from the date of
issuance; my temp license expires in December 05 and I still haven't
received my permanent one. Should I start worrying? How many days it
took you to get your...

Flight Polars for Grob 102 by
John Murphy
I've got a Grob 102 Standard Astir III. The manual that came with the
plane has one flight polar diagramed. The diagram contains flight
polars for 3 different configurations of the G102. Because so many
lines are drawn in close proximity to each other, its not a diagram
that can be used for...

L33 Solo by
Jeff Runciman
Hi Fellow Pilots,
My name is Jeff Runciman and I am a new sailplane pilot.
I probably have a couple of more hours left before
I get my licence. I currently have 135 hours powered,
35 hours ultralite, and about 450 hours of hang gliding
time. I am current in all except the ultralight. I
am looking...

It takes approx 90-100 days to receive your certificate from the
FAA...all depends on what time of the year it was issues as well....It
will come...however, if it appears that you will not receive it before
your temp expires, contact the nearest FAA office. Overseas I recommend
email...

L33 Solo by
Gordon Schubert
Jeff:
I bought an L33 as a my first glider 3 years ago and
owned it for 1 year. It climbs nicely and it's performance
at 33:1 is decent. Cockpit is very roomy. It was very
easy to fly and to transition to from a 1-26. Brand
new they are overpriced but you should be able to pick
up a fairly nice...

Aniversary by
Richard
November 11 2001 was the last time I stepped into a cockpit.
It was the last time I was too broke to have a few "goodies".
In honor of which I have made a $400 trip to the local model railroad
shop.
Which has also been about average per month.
But I have something I can hold in my hands, not...

More grist for the battle of the battery by
Steve Leonard
Larry Goddard wrote:
'Probably OK. However, if you are really concerned,
one option is to put a Schottky diode (of sufficient
current capacity) in line. It will introduce approximately
0.5v of voltage drop over the whole range of supplied
voltage.'
Darn good idea, Larry. Even if you aren't...

Outlanding stories by
bagmaker
OK, Ive not done one.
Been checked out, approved and even go to the "all ready to break my outlanding virginity" stage during many flights -only to be saved by a low thermal or afternooon crop fire. So, outlanding is an interesting idea that I am sure to come to grips with soon enough, weather...

I'm refurbishing a 2-32 and I'm planning to fly this big bird in our wave
and was wondering what type of grease would not get stiff when it gets very
cold?
