Landing with broken rudder cable by
[email protected]
Long time ago I landed glider with broken rudder. Rudder cable broke during stopping spin rotation in aerobatic flight on 3000 feet, decided not to bail out to see if flying and landing is possible and to save the glider. Flying with "hardover rudder" (full deflection) was interesting experience....

Blanik L23 repair by
aarnaes
Recently, our club's Blanik L23 was damaged during a take off incident
in which a wing struck the ground with sufficient force to crease the
wing slightly at the aileron juncture. I understand that the wing is
designed to fail at this point so that the major portion of the
structure will survive...

Glider leaseback contract by
aarnaes
I am entering into a leaseback arrangement a member of my glider club
for the use of my glider. We have agreed to terms and now need some
sort of contract. Do any of you have a template for such an agreement
or can you point me to where I might find one?

Nimbus 2b, looking for a set of covers by
Aaron Thomson
Just thought I would ask if anyone has a full set of Nimbus 2 covers they would be willing to sell or if no longer needed. I'm just exhausting the option of purchasing used covers before I fully commit to buying a new set of covers.
Thanks,
Aaron Thomson

ISO USED CONDOR SOARING SETUP by
Aaron Thomson
Just wondering if anyone in no longer flying on their Condor soaring setup and would like to sell it. I am looking to spend the winter getting familiar with my Ouide and figured why not play around with Condor.
Thanks,

Stinson 108 Tow Release by
Aaron Thomson
Guys/gals,
Anyone have or know if any Stinson 108’s with a tow release? Looking to buy a Stinson 108-3 with a 220hp engine and wouldn’t mind having a back up towplane if our Pawnee is down for any reason other than scheduled maintenance.
Thanks, fly safe!

LX7000 Looking for new glider by
AA[_2_]
I have a LX7000 with rear seat repeater we removed from our Duo Discus. It was working at the time of removal and I would like it to find a new home.

Silver Badge! by
[email protected]
Got an email from Judy today, my Silver Badge is in the mail! yippee,
only 2 years worth of goofed up barographs and missed opportunities to
get it too. I should write a book "Silver Badge...Made Hard!"
On to the gold I suppose.

Start Anywhere by
[email protected]
I was reviewing some contest flights from 2008 and it occurred to me
that there hadn't been a thorough review of people's experience with
the new "start anywhere" rule - which measures distance on the first
leg from a start from anywhere along the boundries of the start
cylinder.
I general I...

More SWR fun by
[email protected]
I've been having radio transmission problems on my Dittel FGS-2T off
and on since I put it in. Some people say I'm over-modulate, some say
I'm under-modulated. I've got a factory boom mike and a factory wiring
harness. I finally got one of those MFJ-259B SWR analyzers to see if
it's an antenna...

Minden Wave Camp Lives Again by
[email protected]
I stopped by Minden yesterday with a list of things to do to get my
soaring season started and had the pleasure of stumbling into the
resurrected Minden wave camp - now hosted by Soaring NV. I have to
say it was one of the better organized and prepared soaring events
I've attended in some time....
