Version 8 by
Andrzej Kobus
How much flying have guys done with version 8? Any issues, is it safe to upgrade? Most of the time LXNav releases are of good quality, but I do remember one that gave me problems. There are some great features in this version, I just don't want to get surprised with problems in the early spring.

Paint for white fiberglass trailer top by
Senna Van den Bosch
I got an older Anschau Komet trailer that needs some care and decided to repaint the entire top side, which is white painted fiberglass. What paint would you recommend for doing this? I'd like it to be a bit glossy and waterproof, as the trailer will stay outside in summer but hangared in winter....

Barographs? by
Tony[_5_]
Anyone have a Barograph or two sitting on a shelf collecting dust? I
would like to put one or two of these relics back into service
generating FAI Badges. Replogle preferred as that is what I have
experience with, however I'll consider any other model. Thanks!

David Wrinkle
I just purchased my first glider and I am struggling to locate via google any good articles, books, manuals, videos, etc... on what methods and practices are available to keep the finish of a gel coated glider up to snuff. There seem to be at least two basic schools of thought, one utilizing...

FES climb rate question. by
JM LN
Hi everybody.
I would like to know the opinion of a owner of a HPH Shark with FES.
Which is the true climb rate?.
Somebody has proven to use FES like a supplement tow mechanism?. I mean, how efficient is take a tow to 300 or 400 m and later start FES to climb at 900 or 1000 m.
Thank you very...

Wheel brake effectiveness standards by
Kenn Sebesta
Does anyone have any data, preferably quantitative, about what sort of braking performance is required? On the one hand, it would seem that effective braking is primordial for safe landing in the event of an outlanding, but on the other hand many gliders seem to have inadequate brakes, to put it...

Question for CFI-Gs
Was more or less told that I'm laboring under a gross misapprehension of fact by a newly minted glider instructor with regard to the above FAR.
I am new to sailplanes. Been flying since 1976 so I've probably been flying longer than this guy is old. Haven't asked, don't really...
