OXYGEN HANGOVER? by [email protected]
All, I fly from an airfield that is over 6000 feet elevation, therefore I use oxygen on most flights. I have found that I get a headache that lasts for several hours following every flight. I use an EDS system and have tried several different settings; everything from its maximum setting which...

Oxygen Generators by JohnDeRosa
Has anyone investigated the use of an oxygen generator rather than carrying an O2 cylinder? According to this study from sea level up to 18,000 it seems to work. http://oai.dtic.mil/oai/oai?verb=getRecord&metadataPrefix=html&identifier=ADA371747 "We conclude that from sea level to 18,000',...

Oxygen equipment by Roger Worden
On the advice of fellow club members I ordered an oxygen-saving cannula, flow meter, and connector to use O2 in a club ship. When I placed the order I was advised by the vendor that regulations require a MASK in the ship, not just a cannula. He mentioned some situations wherein a mask would be...

Oxygen Cylinders by Frank Smith
I know it is out there someplace but I cannot find it, I always thought it was a DOT thing. Anybody have the official link to where the cylinder testing intervals are defined? Fly safe, have fun, Frank to reduce SPAM my return address has been slightly altered.

Oxygen Cart Picture Needed (Glider) by OHM Ω http://aviation.derosaweb.net
Does anyone have a picture of an oxygen cart that is in use around a gliderport? I am giving a speech TONIGHT (April 23) on glider oxygen systems and would like to include a picture of such. I want to emphasize the idea of the "low" pressure tank initial fill followed by the topping off from...

Oxygen bottle for ASW 27 and ASG 29 by [email protected]
Does anyone have a spare steel (D) O2 bottle they would sell? It needs to be 108mm (4.25") or less in diameter. John Murray found us one but we need two more. They vary considerably in diameter and the Mfg. is not interested in sorting out a few smaller ones for our use. Thanks. Dale Bush

Oxygen Bottle for ASW 20 by Deming Gray
Hello, I want to install an oxygen bottle in my ASW20. I haven't found any documentation on what size bottle should be installed. I tried a search on this site and there are loads of posts regarding oxygen but I couldn't get them to open. Anyone know why? Anyone have any information on the...

Oxygen - Rent a system? by CWJr
I need an O2 system for one week, and really don't want to have to purchase if one could be rented. Anyone know of such? I've seen medical supply houses that rent O2 bottle-reg-cannula system for a week. But from what I've seen, the regulator is only rated to 10,000 MSL, so no good for flying.

Oxygen by [email protected]
Working out details for a trip to NM. Mountain High seems to have a solid reputation but a fairly steep price compared to Aerox. No joy on W&W or anywhere else. The MH system has some genuinely tantalizing figures of merit, just priced 300 bucks on the high side. Any opinions? Better yet,...

Oxygen by Jim[_18_]
http://www.inogenaviator.com/products.html This oxygen system looks interesting but is only certified to 15k and battery life is only 6 hours. It would be nice to do away with filling bottles. Does anybody know of any other systems available or on the horizon that would be more useful to glider...

Oximeters with alarms, data logging, and prices less than $300 by Eric Greenwell

Oximeters that are Sunlight Readable? by John DeRosa OHM Ω http://aviation.derosaweb.net
Being a flat-lander I want to monitor my O2 blood saturation level during high altitude flights. I own one of the inexpensive OLED fingertip pulse oximeters ("Pulse OX") devices which works but for several annoying things; 1) It's finicky fingertip fitting makes it nearly impossible to keep...

Oxford Gliding Club under threat - please help by Claudia Buengen (online)
Hi all, some of you may be aware that the UK government is planning the construction of 10 so-called "eco" towns on this little windy island in the next few years. Unfortunately one of the 15 shortlisted sites includes RAF Weston-on-the-Green, home to the Oxford Gliding Club, one of the oldest...
