Youth in soaring, and anything by
raulb
I have just seen an unscientific poll on a guitar forum that I found
fascinating, and not because of what it means for playing guitars. In
this poll, almost 41% of those responding were between the ages of 50
and 59. The next largest group, 40-49, is at only 18%.
Like most, if not all of us...

We look forward to numerous entries in the "Cadet" learn-to-fly

While this distributed SSA recruiting tool (poster, site invitation,
essay challenge)is available all year, the submission deadline passes

Your Opinion Would Be Appreciated by
[email protected]
I am considering making a purchase for a AGS29 pure glider, I have somewhat a good idea as to the market value of such a ship, but your feedback would be greatly appreciated.
What would you consider the market value of aa ASG29 2012 model, with a slight damage history and somewhat outdated panel...

Your First Land Out by
Dan Marotta
Describe your first land out and tell us if you had any specific prior
training for cross country flying or for landing in an unusual place.
As stated elsewhere, formal training for cross country flying and
landing out is sorely lacking in the USA.Â* Yes, there are a few places
where you can go...

Young Eagles push (USA) by
John H. Campbell
Well, I did another 10 Young Eagle rides over the weekend. How about you?
A reminder that if just one individual at every Club and FBO in the country
would do a half dozen each month, the american soaring community could add
10,000 to EAA's total and bring them up to the 1 million mark by...

You want cheap soaring? by
Nicholas Kennedy

You could get 2/3 guys together and this thing would be a blast.
I bet it would climb to base with anything!
Love the paintjob.

You know you are addicted to soaring when.... by
[email protected]
So I'm reading this thriller novel called 'Blowout' by Dorgan and Hagberg. It is set at a remote secret site in North Dakota, and the front cover shows a flat, featureless snow-covered plain with what looks like a chemical plant in the background. In the foreground, just above the title is a big...

You can now try Ramy’s scary outlanding on Lake Tahoe golf course on Condor by
Bret Hess
Ramy completed the real-life very challenging outlanding in a tailwind, uphill. His glider had a little damage from a groundloop. I’m guessing he did the groundloop because he was very close to the trees at the end of the fairway. See the golf course in satellite view and his landing track at ...

York and the OLC by

Canadian Rockies Soaring Club blew us out of the water. That despite Bob
Lepp's heroic efforts to almost single handedly defend our now lost 1st
place in the club standings where we shined so briefly. But we're still in
2nd place! Wouldn't it be fun to have our pilots fly in the Rockies for...
