Propeller Damage by
Mike McCarron[_2_]
Saw a Pawnee bend its prop on a taxiway light while taxiing. Other than
repairing the prop or replacing it with another what is required by either
Lycoming or the FAA for inspection of the engine?
Thanks
Mike

bug wipers by
John Cochrane
I'm shopping for bug wipers for my ASW27B, and am curious to hear from
others with experience, especially in this model. Bug wipers are not
very common in the US.
Thanks

Form One Questions by
jcarlyle
I’ve got two questions for European pilots regarding the Form One,
arising out of curiosity on my part.
First, it appears to this US pilot that one of the uses of a Form One
is to certify that a new part is airworthy, with the basis for
airworthiness being that the part was made in accordance with...

(USA) FSDO inspections of Experimental gliders by
Tuno
I was recently contacted by my local FSDO (Scottsdale AZ) with a
request to do a ramp inspection of my glider.
He explained that starting this year, he is required to do "a ramp
inspection and records review of every aircraft that is operating on
an air racing and/or exhibition special...

MickiMinner
For those of you not already in the 1-26 association, we have another
sad story of a glider pilot who has left us on this plane of earth.
Vern Hutchinson, the USA 2008 1-26 champion, (awards in one year: old
buzzard, old goat, old toad) and WWII veteran, died august 15th,
2009.

SPOT User Survey - Altitude? by
MarkHawke7
All,
So in some of the recent discussions with SPOT about their upcoming
products, they tell me that they have indeed surveyed their users
about whether they would like to have altitude outputted. They have
not (yet) told me how much extra it would have cost, but they said
that the majority of...

Bending Plexiglass by
Tony Condon[_2_]
I need to make a new section of the canopy on the Cherokee. Its a pretty
simple bend, not really a compound curve or anything. But I dont know
anything about how to do it. I suspect that I need to heat the plexi up
and then weight it to bend, repeat as necessary? Im sure that several of
us have...

This spring I have released two new products – flyWithCE Flight

also the cheapest). It has built in internal antenna and memory large
enough to record 100 hours with 1s recording rate interval...

UK Air Accidents by
Graham Drinkell
Recent Air Accidents/Incidents appear to have been very poorly reported by
the press. Especially when light aircraft are involved. They are extremely
unknowledgable, wether a paraglider (or other a/c) / RAF training a/c is
involved?

Relief Tube Housing - Unsafe by
Tim Taylor
I pulled the seat pan in my Ventus 2 for the first time to find the
relief tube housing to be a 10 inch long sharp ended aluminum tube
epoxied to the bottom of the fuselage. Needless to say if you have
one of these in your glider I encourage you to get rid of it ASAP. I
would hate to see what...

Well, It's been about 1 year asked about where to learn to fly gliders
in Central FL on this newsgroup. Several of you directed me to
Seminole Lake Gliderport, and my mom purchased an intro flight for me
for my 37th birthday 6/21/2008. I did my 1st flight (my intro) on Dec

Trailer TETRIS by
JS
Has anyone had success with loading two 15m (Cobra or similar)
trailers into one shipping container?
Better yet, have the two trailers come out nicely at the other end?
Seems to me that one needs to go above the other in a high-cube: Tail
first up top and roll the other underneath...
Or both the...
