ASG-29 Coke Bottle Whistle by
RickH
I hope some of you ASG-29 drivers have either experienced or heard of this issue I'm having with my 2012 ASG-29. The ship has about 200 hours on it. At about 100-110 knots I have a very loud and annoying sound that comes from the rear of the ship. It sounds just like someone blowing over a coke...

Ventus C, 15m vs 17.6m by
Mike N.
Just curious, how is the performance of the Ventus C with 17.6m tips installed versus standard 15m with good winglets?
I have done some searching and seen some consensus that the 16.6m tips are typically not used much due to the performance degradation at high air speeds. But what about the 17.6...

Brokerage fee by
[email protected]
I'm working on the sale of a glider from a deceased club member for his estate. The estate has no idea how to sell a glider and what level of effort is involved. What is a fair brokerage fee (percentage) to handle the transaction for them? I plan on putting the glider on several websites and...

Glider electrics etc by
Colin Roney
I admit I am a total dummy when it comes to glider
electrics and navigation installation stuff but I am very keen
to try and correct the situation. Does anyone have any
ideas for suggested reading in order to try and understand
the subject.

Minnesota Downwind Dash! by
Tony[_5_]
Barry Yeager and Dick Andrews launched this morning at 10 AM (10 AM!!!) from Fairbault. They are about to cross I-80 in Iowa as of 12:30. They are flying Barry's Arcus M. My understanding is the goal is 750km just east of St Louis which ought to be good for a multiplace distance to declared goal...

What have we learned from all this? by
Neal Alders
I have been treated with dexamethasone on 5 occasions for asthma and bronchitis related illness when I was much younger. Was never given supplementary O2 or on a ventilator when being treated with this drug.
This drug is cheap and very commonly used for many issues. Sorry that doesn't fit your...

Gliding Club Experiences by
Patrick
Hello Gliders,
I wanted to make this post to see other pilots experiences at their local gliding clubs. My experience at my local gliding club is so-so, speaking as a young soon to be solo pilot, because of organisational management.
My friend and I have been quite frustrated due to extreme...

flight computer ergonomics and function by
danlj
I'm curious.
After two successive near-midairs about 5 years ago, I installed PowerFlarm and a transponder that wouldn't deplete my battery during flight.
This required, due lack of panel space, that I give up my beloved ILEC S-10 flight computer (and its remote control). An Oudie IGC and and...

Flat external FLARM antenna? by
Matt Herron Jr.
Flarm antennas are a real pain for ships with carbon hulls. Coverage is always poor, especially below. Is there a way to make a perfectly flat and thin antenna that could be taped to the outside of the hull and fed through a small (1/8"?) hole? I am thinking 2 thin wire strands, or foil strips,...

Class mobility by
Pat Russell[_2_]
The 57th Australian Multiclass Nationals are underway in Narromine.
They are running 4 classes: Open, 18m, 15m, and Std.
All four classes are handicapped. The entry rules seem to be:
a) You can enter Open Class if your wingspan is at least 18 meters.
b) You can enter 18m Class only if you...

Has anyone replaced the scissors jack on a late 90s vintage COBRA trailer with a COBRA Hydraulic Jack. If so I would appreciate it if you would share any details about the switch.
Thanks,
