MLBPA Insurance, The Lidle Crash & A Closet Full of Suits by
PPL-A (Canada)
I believe this chain of lawsuits began when Mrs. Lidle found out that
her husband's group policy provided for by the Major League Baseball
Players Assosiaction (MLBPA) would not be paying out any money to her,
as the accidental death clause wording allegedly specifically excludes
coverage if the...

getting into the airplane business by
Mark
I'd appreciate any intelligent input into this idea I've
had presented to me.
Lately several flight schools have mentioned to me
they'd be interested in leasing a light-sport plane
from me if I purchased one. One person told me
about someone who did this with a new Cessna 172,
and it was paid off...

Pirep: Trip to Dayton Wright Patterson Museum by
Jim Burns
Wow, amazing, huge, inspiring, impressive, and a must see for any aviation
enthusiast.
The list of planes on display is unreal. F22 Raptor, B1, B2, B52, B36, huge
array of the F100 series fighters, B29, B17.... the WWII display is great,
not only does it cover the US fighters but it includes many...

Fuel flow and leaning this time by
xerj
Yet another question.
Say you're at altitude and it's time to lean the constant speed engine(s).
You pull back on the mixture control, the EGT starts to go up. The engine
"sounds" more powerful as you do this. The prop might speed up momentarily
until the governor does its stuff and keeps it at...

PDA GPS software for Europe?? by
Frode Berg
Hi!
Abyone out there using any PDA GPS software that works in Europe?
I've seen lot's of "shiny" stuff on the net, but all of them are US only.
I'm looking for something with an aviation database, terrain would be nice,
flightplan features and that will work on a win mobile 5 PDA.
So far, only...

Airlines Threatened With Scheduling Restrictions by

Wasn't this my idea a few weeks back?
Secretary of Transportation Mary Peters appears to accept that general
aviation is not to blame for flight delays at major airports and says her
department will impose scheduling restrictions on airlines, if necessary,
improve on-time records. The first...

This is why we do runups by
Roger Long
The particular O-320 in our 172N is the sweetest running aircraft engine I
have ever known. We maintain it rigorously and proactively and lean
aggressively for all ground operations. I have not had to clear a mag once
in the 880 hours since it was installed.
I flew the plane the day before...

I wonder if it's possible to say what PDA would be best for pilots? On
what platform is the most valuable Software available? (Pocket Windows,
Palm?)

there something similar for aviation?
By the way - Pocket Windows exists...
