18 Meter and Open Class Nationals 2nd Day # 711 reporting by
[email protected]
I am up at 6 am today, hopefully trying to find an open window of
weather for at least the Regional Sports Class to fly in. See, I am
the weatherman, and QV is sending me daily weather reports, along
with SZ, who is also helping. Sam, has been weatherman for many
contests, along with Richard, who...

18 Meter Nationals by
John Bentley
With the Duck Hawk now having won the 15 meter Nationals and with an
outstanding performance in the open class nationals, and now looking
to win the 18 meter Nationals you would think that the US Soaring Team
would want to fill its ranks with Duck Hawks and show the world that a
small US company...

18 meter Nationals at Ephrata by
[email protected]
Should anyone need a crew for the contest, I am available. Live in
Texas but could be in Ephrata at start of practice. I am very familiar
with the contest area as in the past I flew several contests there and
flew there for pleasure for 25 years. Lynn Wyman (AKA The Snake Angler)

18-m Nationals Complete -- Tom Kelley (711) New Champ! Go Tom! by
WE[_2_]
We had a great time at Ephrata this year. The organization was superb
and the weather even better. This is clearly a great soaring site
that rivals Uvalde in many ways and it is much cooler. I can't say
enough about how well run everything was there from the soaring
activities to the social...

1800km Sierra Wave XC Flight Today by
Kemp
Today Gordon Boettger flew his Kestrel on a 3TP flight of about 1800km
out of Minden, Nevada. A sunrise takeoff lead to the first turn near
Chilcoot, then South to near Inyokern, back North to Susanville, then
down to Palmdale. This flight handily beats my flight of last year on
a similar route. ...

18m Antares by
johngalloway[_3_]
Are there any Antares 18S/T pilot/owners out there who could give me
their flying and ownership experiences and impressions? Either here
or by email.
(Not the 20E - and I have read all the published reviews about the
18S).
Thanks,
John Galloway
