Twin Astir Canopy Replacement by
YFCpilots
If anyone knows where I could find either a complete frame AND plexi
canopy for the rear cockpit of a Twin Astir (not Twin II) I'd
appreciate the help. Our Canadian Freedoms Wings program for
paraplegic pilots is at a standstill as we've broken our rear canopy.
Its a frustrating position to be in...

Cert. of Airworthiness - DG 505's AKA DG500 Elan Orion - what's theFAA story? by
YFCpilots
I read through a good number of the posts and understand the history &
issues faced with the Slovanian DG500 Elan Orions entering the US.
Does anyone know what the story is on them now? Have the CofAs been
cancelled?
And finally, can anyone confirm that the non Elan-Orion produced
DG500s are not...

Does anyone out there know if hand controls are available for the Grob

Any help would be much appreciated.

A thought about handicapping....... by
XYZ
What happens if we handicap pilots instead of aircraft.....
Have a handicap card for each pilot airplane combination.
If I can consistantly get 50% of the possible points earned by the days
winner,
I would get a series of normalization factors (2.00) that over time would
reflect my...

Classes? by
XYZ
My last less than sucessful post was an attempt to provoke thought about
handicapping.
I really think the SSA and SCCA have the same problem. Too diverse a
selection of equipment and
too many classes to race them in. SCCA has spec this , spec that, local
classes, national classes,...

Hoping someone may be able to help. I'm working on getting my gear up and running for the coming season and want to use my iPaq HX4700. Duo discus tow release by
XXL
The front seat cable release sheared off at the handle yesterday, and
the cable disappeared into the fuselage bowls. Does anyone have a
drawing to show how to access the pulley connecting the front and rear
releases without cutting a hole in the floor?
Thanks,
Roderick

Question:
I would like information regarding installation in the USA of the TOST tow release - as sold on Wings and Wheels - for a tow plane in regards to FAA approval of the installation. I am interested in any installation but am looking at installing on a Scout 8GCBC in particular.
