SUA airspace format by
Martin Gregorie[_5_]
Can anybody point me at a definition of the SUA airspace file format,
please?
LK8000 uses it, but so far I haven't been able to find the UK airspace in
SUA format, so its looking more and more as if I'll have to convert a TNP
or OpenAir file to SUA.

Kudos to Region 10 Fredericksburg Contest Team by
Tim[_2_]
Having just completed flying the Region 10 Contest at Fredericksburg,
Gillipsie County Airfield in the great State of Texas, I wanted to
publicly thank the organizers, the Fault Line Flyers and the many
other volunteers that made the contest a roaring success.
This was one of the tightest run...

Fuselage lift by
Jonathan St. Cloud
Wondering how much if any lift in gliders is generated from the fuselage in flight. There is a famous photo of a F-15 that landed with one wing gone due to collision. This of course was possible due to the lift generated by the F-15 fuselage.
The Schleicher family of gliders had two new...

SeeYou Training by
Paul Remde
Hi,
The SeeYou Training DVD that I created a few months ago has been selling
extremely well. That makes me happy - not only because it helps me support
my family, but also because it seems to be very well received and I feel
that I am helping soaring pilots get the most out of SeeYou.
However,...

Radiation doses while flying gliders by
Bruno[_2_]
I know a few airline pilots and none of them have died of cancer yet,
but with all the news about airport scanners and the comments that the
radiation they put out is the same amount as a few minutes of
radiation while at cruise has me thinking.
Out here in Utah we often spend the day (4-5 hours)...

PowerFLARM protocol version 6 by
kirk.stant
I'm playing with my PFB (on ground near big airport) and while I'm getting good Mode A/C/S hits out to 5NM, I have yet to get an ADS-B return. Is there some special setting in the FLARMcfg file that's needed to enable ADS-B?
Also, in the DataportManual v6.00E, it talks about enabling protocol...

Vario pneumatics by

Does anyone have a solution to the problem of having two `flask` varios

I understand, although I may be wrong, that having a tee piece split near
to the panel to provide the two t/e requirements is a `no no`.

Trailer access calculation? by
John McLaughlin
I want to bring my trailer home to do some maintenance while we're all
grounded, but I'm not sure if I can access my house from the road. I
have a 90deg bend to get around and then the second issue is a short,
steep slope, which may ground the back of the trailer.
So my question is, if I...

SN10 USB connection by

Is it possible to use a USB SD card reader with the new SN10 USB

keeping contest scorers happy, inquiring minds want to know.
Of course, I could just go out...

Glider specific transponder codes by
Bob Caldwell
Hi Pilots,

If any Minden area pilots are familiar with the procedures followed to
secure your glider specific XPDR code please contact me. I would like
to see a similar specific code for the Front Range of the Rockies. I
haven't a clue where to start the process.

Wanted Janus A right wing by
goneill
We are considering a repair of a Janus A
but to use my son's expression the right wing is "munted"
translation:heavily damaged
It is repairable "just" so I am hoping there might be an
another one somewhere in the world that is for sale that
is in better condition.
