turnpoint file generator on my website. You can now upload a
turnpoint file for a contest site (from the Worldwide Soaring
Turnpoint Exchange) and download a .KML file that can be opened with
Google Earth showing those...

PowerFlarm range tool by
Mark628CA
I have run several flights through the PowerFlarm range tool, and my coverage seems adequate, but I am wondering if anyone has a method of determining 3D coverage? The tool shows a decent depiction of horizontal coverage, but I wouldn't mind having an idea of the coverage above and (especially)...

Gliding Research Assistance by

Hello RAS,
Several years ago I wrote my Senior Honors Thesis in History on "Soaring's Golden Age: 1965-1975." I recently got a copy of my paper back from my college, having lost it somewhere in 8 moves over 7 years. I had always wanted to pick the paper back up, as in college I did not have the...

SparrowHawk Question by
soarin
When I read FAR Part 103 it says that ultralights must have a power
off stalling speed of no more than 24 knots.
When I go to the Windward Performance web page it shows the stall
speed of the SparrowHawk as 32 knots.
How can the SparrowHawk be flown as an ultralight in the U.S.?

Thanks,

More 787 Thoughts by
David Pye[_2_]
I've heard they employ a rather revolutionary ballast
system for those occasional booming days which utilizes
fuel - guess it's lighter than water!
Just need to start loading the wings around 3am to
be ready for a launch at midday!
What's Vwinch - any ideas?

K3 sighting by
[email protected]
On my way out to Jean (southbound I-15 out of Las Vegas) Saturday
morning I passed a truck pulling a Cobra trailer with K3 on the
"tail". I was kinda' hoping they'd be stopping at Jean to fly a bit,
but they didn't. Anybody know who it was?
