Fredricksburg # 711 reporting by TomnKeyLargo
I showed up in Fredricksburg on Sunday mornin and pulled the weather all the way from Uvalde. Like it rained most of the way. I believe it rained so hard on Monday that the Frio river overflowed and caused part of the interstate to shut down. Anyway, they were not flying and I left on Sunday...

#711 reporting Uvalde by TomnKeyLargo
Well the contest is over. Last nite we had the awards and dinner. This was a good and hard test for this years Open Class and 18 Meter Nationals. Uvalde weather gods did serve up a challenge for all pilots and the CD. Other than several, well, slow tows, behind one Cessna, the towpilots and launch...

That price Ian gave and trust of 42 lbs. was before the motor was completed. The ad even says available this fall. Its on Jet Cat USA web page, and its a old ad. I have been in touch with the dealer and the price is about $3200 bucks and the Jet Cat P200 now produces 50 lbs of thrust. There are...

Hobbs Day 5 7-08 # 711. by TomnKeyLargo
At the pilots meeting today, the CD pushed back grid time to 12:30 and the pilots meeting in the front of the grid to 12:45. This is a big help to all as we do not launch so early and grind around for several hours with 100 degree cockpit heat before the start. Yesterday the high alitude was around...

Well, what the blipmaps have been saying and what has been happening are too different things. The last several days it hasn't been anything like the forcasts the blipmaps have been giving. We started launch at a little after 1 pm. Our tasks were for good soaring conditions. Well, the tasks were...

Hobbs Day 3 7-06 # 711 reporting by TomnKeyLargo
Today was a struggle to get up to 4000 agl for the start. Thermals were choppie and the lift in the Hobbs area was simply lousy. A MAT for all classes was called with Jal the first turn, but that was changed to Seminole as the first turn for all classes. Sports got a 2.5 hr time, Standard was 3...
