SeeYou and OLC by
Greg Arnold[_3_]
On April 1, SeeYou put their new version 3.95 on their webpage
(erroneously described on their webpage as a new build of the old 3.94).
Anyone submitting flights to the OLC should download this version, as
it appears to fix the bug where the tow could be counted as part of the
optimized...

brianDG303[_2_]
recently I've had two files rejected by the olc. SeeYou shows and
scores it correctly, but the OLC shows, scores, and rejects the drive
home. Can't understand why SeeYou shows it si easily but OLC can't
find it. Help?

Placards by
bildan
I know there has been several threads on making new glider placards to
replace old, hard to read ones. However, I think I have just found
something new that might be the best idea yet.
See: http://www.horizonsisg.com/alumajet/alumajet-inkjet-printable-aluminum.html

Region 9S Weather by
Mike the Strike
Those 44-odd pilots participating in the Region 9S contest at El Tiro
Gliderport next week might be interested in the long-range weather
forecast. Although El Nino isn't quite dead yet, it is expected that
the more southerly passage of weather systems and fronts that has
brought us some...

US/Canada Border Data for SeeYou, etc. by
2KA
Hello All,
On a suggestion from Dave Nadler I've posted US/Canada border
information in Tim Newport-Peace and OpenAir formats on my website at
http://www.soaringdata.info. I'll probably get around to doing US/
Mexico the next time the weather is crummy in my neck of the woods.
The border data is...

Whole Lotta K in the USA by
Papa3
Looks like yesterday was a pretty spectacular (if challenging) day in
the Mid-Atlantic states. I see a bunch of 1000K plus flights on the
OLC, and am aware of at least one or two potential records. Any
narrative from the participants (I was locked in an interior,
windowless conference room)?

OLC statistics by
brianDG303[_2_]
I flew with several much more advanced pilots on Saturday, 4 hours in
100% ridge lift, very turbulent, very rough terrain (North Cascades WA
State), very cool. Afterwords it was pointed out to me that my Rate Of
Climb statistic was 1/2 of everyone else, although I was keeping up
altitude wise. Is...

General Flight Experience - Just Wondering by
Bob Whelan[_3_]
A recent conversation with an experienced glider pilot/flight instructor
got me to wondering...
I know of one CFIG/FBO who - when he got into the CFIG activity years
ago - admitted to several years of 800 hours/year in rides and
instruction...in Ohio!
I know roughly how many annual hours...

eliminate some old ones that are no longer used so they do not show up
on the drop down on the upper left corner of the program. I have been

New Oudie Photos by
Paul Remde
Hi,
I just took a bunch of photos of the new Naviter Oudie and all the included
accessories. I also show photos of an optional modification to the Oudie's
cradle which allows it to work well with a RAM cradle or GNeck2 gooseneck.
Below are links to the updated pages.
I now have Oudie units in...

Hi Gang
This was posted on SOG (Stemme Owner's Group). I am posting it here
and on RAS. Enjoy. Why don't we ever see this kind of stuff done in
the US?
Dave
Don't try this at home, but do be sure to watch the video after
checking the still shots.

Before we order a new set for a Pegasus that hasn't been flown in a

Specifically, they are parts $Y185A (left) and $Y196A (right).
