Good Press by
sisu1a
Hi All, I just got my EAA Sport Aviation magazine and to my surprise
found two good sailplane articles in it. The first, pgs 34-37 is
called Pured Flight, and is a general overview of gliding, beginning
first on explaining sailplanes, then launching them, then soaring
followed up with...

Hi
I am planning to come to the East Coast area next spring and travelling around for a couple of months.
Looking for some recommendation on where the best ridge soaring might be and what glider(s)to approach.
I still have my US private pilot licence, but not yet converted to US Gliding licence,...

skysight monthly subscription by
Dave Springford
Can anyone answer this question?
When buying a monthly skysight subscription, does it cover 30 days from the date of purchase or does it go to the end of the current month?
i.e. if I buy it today, is it good until 31 July or 10 August?

Costello anyone? by
[email protected]
It is Monday April 17th and I know it is Easter Monday.
Has anyone been able to contact Costello lately?
Both numbers (480-968-7746 and 800-528-6483) say that the number is out of service.
Anyone have any more information?
Thanks,
Bob 7U

AGC vs. ATC fuses in glider panels by
jfitch
Can anybody shed some light on why manufacturers continue to use glass (AGC) fuses rather than blade type plastic (ATC) fuses in gliders? Is there a certification issue, is it simply inertia? Automotive, marine, heavy equipment, and pretty much everyone else has moved on to the ATC style. From...

Just to clarify, The FAA does not classify a glider as an airplane so
this has nothing to do with the exemption. The press release is poorly worded.

Pipistrel Kit Aircraft now FAA 51% Accepted by
Juan Jimenez
The NTSB has issued a decision on the case I mentioned here. The
administrative law judge had previously refused to revoke the part 135
certificates of the two operators and instead issued an indefinite
suspension. The FAA appealed and argued for a permanent revocation, the
respondents argued...

Hi, I just want to use this forum to thank Adam Schneider, the guy
behind GPS Visualizer, for providing this fantastic tool - for free!
As you might have noticed, we used it on the homepage of the World

Importing a Glider from Neatherlands to So Cal by
Dan[_6_]
I'm interested in learning more importing a used glider (15 meter
span) from the Neatherlands to Southern California.
Anybody have any experience at this?
Any advice would be useful.
Rough estimate of cost?
How long?
Thank you in advance,
