APRS - today tracking on the Sierras by CindyB[_2_]
Many contests in the US have offered flight real time tracking using SPOT. We like amateur radio APRS tracking better. If you would like to see why we have a preference, use this web site www.aprs.fi and enter the following four call signs.

Volkslogger for sale. Works great. Uses round cable connection. Rarely used for the past 3 years, but it is in fine working condition. Not sure what the going rate is, so I'll ask $500.

OLC League by Grider Pirate
One of the members of the LVVSA logs a lot of good flights: http://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-2.0/gliding/flightbook.html?sp=2010&st=olc&rt=olc&pi=35239 His doesn't have a CFR, but does have an OLC valid logger. His flights aren't counted for our club for some reason I can't figure out. I can't...

Legends of Flight IMAX by Tony[_5_]
Has anyone else seen it? Has a nice sequence of an ASW-24 in the mountains. I was watching on an IMAX Dome which sort of distorted the image so I'm not sure if it was CGI or not, although I suspect it was. The film was about the 787 and featured Boeings chief test pilot. It sort of was a basic...

Cambridge 302A flight log - missing ENL for ONE flight by Grider Pirate
On this flight:http://www.onlinecontest.org/olc-2.0/gliding/ flightinfo.html?flightId=1915852873 my 302A did not record engine noise levels. It always recorded it before this flight, and has been fine in two subsequent flights. Has anyone else seen this behavior? Thanks, Jim

Wiring by John[_27_]
I'm considering installing a climb/cruise switch, gear warning, and spoiler warning sensors (all driven by a C302). I've not done any wiring on gliders before - is there a specific grade of wire that should be used? And what gauge is typically used for this sort of thing? Thanks, John
