Seeking Komet Trailer Axle by
Marc Henis
I am seeking a relacement axle for a Komet III trailer (year-1978 - 850
kg).
As is the case with many Komet Trailers of this age, the Torsion component
of the axle on one side has failed and while it is OK for short retrieves,
it will soon have to go on at least quite long trip - - and...

LX Navigation Traffic Monitor or LXNAV-TrafficView? by
Tom BravoMike
As I'm considering ordering the new Flarm Fusion, I wonder which (80 mm) display to go for. The two mentioned in the topic line have similar features and price. Pros and cons? What are the 'Voice alerts' like with the LX Navigation? Anyone could share his/her experience, please? Thanks in advance....

Auto-retracting spool for auto-towing gliders? by
Luke Scharf
Does anyone know of auto-towing gear that will automatically retract the rope the glider releases?
My club has just moved to a new airport, which has a runway long enough for auto-towing. However, we'd like to be able to clean up the runway quickly -- preferably while the tow vehicle is still...

L-13 Blanik Tow OUt Gear by
Boise Pilot
Looking for examples of L-13 tow out gear. Has anyone designed and or constructed equipment to facilitate towing a L-13, 13ac, or 23 behind a vehicle? Now that I have mine flying again I am looking for a way to move it around the airport by myself.

Only one day left!
So far, poll responses are up 15% from 2017 and are up an impressive 30% from two years ago, but there are many of you out there who haven't responded yet. If you have flown a US contest in the past three years we want your feedback!

Point and Shoot Camera by
vontresc
So what is the collective wisdom for a decent P&S camera for the glider. I'm looking for something slightly better than my cell phone camera, but small enough to fit into my Libelle with my lard butt in there :-)
Thanks

Testing an electret microphone? by
[email protected]
My radio stopped working. I'm transmitting, but with no audio. I think it's probably the mic, but there are some other components between the mic and the radio. Is there some way I can test my electret mic to confirm it's actually the mic before I order a replacement? From what I understand...

Can you point me to a source of "wedekind sleeves" (I hope I spelled it
properly) which will install over the l'Hotellier conectors? Also, I am
in a need of the graphic symbols for cockpit use, I mean the landing
gear down and up icon, the speed brakes, etc. I would like to find them
in some sort...

Rules for Logging Glider PIC Time by
Markus Graeber
I'd like to ask for some feedback on how your country deals with
logging PIC time in gliders to help me with clarifying the rules here.
Acting as PIC (the one and only legally responsible pilot for the
aircraft) is one thing but logging PIC time is another animal.
My interpretation so far for e.g....

SRA Poll by
Sam Giltner[_1_]
I would like to thank the people responsible for putting together the SRA
Poll. A lot of work for sure.
I do take issue with item 3.0 and 3.1, Club Class
First 3.0 states that the WGCs Club Class List is too unstable and
excludes too many ships in widespread use in the US. The whole idea of a
Club...

Recently a set of DG-600 wings have shown up for sale. They are
damaged but don't apear to be beyond repair. I'm considering using a
these wings for an experiment I've been toying with for some time. .
I've never seen a DG-600 in person so I could use some help with a few
basic questions.

is the 302A able to support a GPS signal to the 303 as well as the
SNav?
Thanks for any...

In 1967, the US soaring community received a perfect storm of publicity
as three major mainstream publications printed articles about their
sport. Membership in the SSA shot up.
I am in the process of making these articles available on the web. Here
