Can't buy them all, choosing between ASW19 vs LS1 vs PIK20 by
PAGA
Hi all,
After a long break from gliders, last year I moved close to an airfield and resumed flying at the local soaring club on Blanik metal 2-seaters. While this is always a lot of fun I am tempted to finally get my own one-seater and start practice longer flights, with slightly better...

Anyone have a Piep Audio Vario? by
[email protected]
Subject says it all. Discussion in the Mechancal Vario thread led to
some suggesting that I should get an antique Piep Audio vario that
would plumb in with my current mechanical vario. I think they are
right, sounds like just what I need. Anyone have one laying around
they want to part with?

CAI 302 - How to delete all old pilots? by
[email protected]
Looking for the CAI 302 gurus out there...
I have a new to me CAI 302 that has several pilot names programed in it. I want to delete all of the old pilots from the device. I found the 302 dataport specification document, which says that I should be able to issue a "CLEAR PILOT" command from a...

LX 9000 or CNII? by
Tom (2N0)
I have a CNI,CNv, and a LXNAV V7 in my ASG-29. The CNI is easy to operate but it has locked up a few times and has given me a lot of headaches trying to start out of the top of the start cylinder - might be operator error :)
Between the varios I always find myself referencing the V7 because it...

Is FLARM helpful? by
Casey Cox
Has anyone been thankful that they have had FLARM?
And do the same people have a transponder?
How many people fly with FLARM or Transponder?
Let's hear about the close calls, or potential close calls, or even the peace of mind of awareness.

Seat cushions for ASK21 by
[email protected]
I'm looking for a glider friendly seat cushion maker.
The original factory cushions are a bit thin and I was wondering if another club or commercial operator has a best solution for this. Normaly I'd take the old thin cushions to a local upholstery shop for fattening.
I've used my Sheep Skinned...

Ventus 3? by
Peter F[_2_]
As it's raining here in the UK, I've been following the results from
Uvalde.
There's a fair mix of types in 15m & Open Class, but the Ventus 2 is absent
from the top half of the results in 18m.
The Ventus is the oldest of Schempp's current fleet, so any rumours of a
Ventus 3 on the horizon?

WTB: B40 (or the like) by
Phil Chidekel
Hey Everyone,
Our club has decided to make some major modifications to our beloved Potato Bomber (1-26): fresh yaw string, repainted panel, etc...
It was also decided that our current Cambridge electric vario should be replaced with a more modern gizmo. Does anyone have a used Borgelt B40 (or a...

FLARM false poitives by
Luke Szczepaniak
Hi All, in the numerous FLARM threads I see multiple references to false positives. I had seen many myself before I came across the following config in the dataport:
#Enable Competition Mode - changes warning configuration
#Set 0 to disable, set 2 to enable
$PFLAC,S,CFLAGS,2
