advise on wax wanted by
Max Birley
I have over the years accumulated all sorts of glider waxing products. I want to remove oxidized paint and to polish my glider (it has a polyurethane paint finish) to have a smooth finish and importantly to protect it against the very strong UV light in Texas
There is a lot of talk on the net...

I think I have 3 options

Soaring the Andes by
Maurits Hebels
Hi everyone,
Next January (or the one after that) I would love to spend a few weeks gliding in Chile. I tried contacting Vitacura near Santiago, but they are not responding. Are there people here who have experience flying in that area?
Thanks

LS1-D by

I am considering to buy a beautiful LS1-D. However, I have never had the chance to fly this ship, so I do not know anything about the glider regarding its flying characteristics. Unfortunately, it isn't possible to perform a test until April. Are there any people here that have experience flying...

Licensing order by
Matt[_4_]
Hi all,
I've been looking into getting my private pilot's license. I've taken
test flights in a cessna (172SP) and a glider (GROB 103). I really
liked the glider, but I also like the benefits of the private.
What order would be best to get both licenses? Should I get a private
first with a glider...

Pik-20 winglets in Australia by
[email protected]
Hello
I have heard that there flies at least 4 Pik-20B: s with winglets in
Australia.
I have some questions about this:
1. Is there an approval, similar to a Supplemental Type Certificate
(STC), issued by the national airworthiness authority; ore is the
modification "experimental".
2. Are they...

Schleicher directional air vents by
mattm[_2_]
Hi, All,
my ASW-19 has three different air vents in the cockpit -- one in the
nose that's controlled
by a handle above the instrument panel, plus two holes in the
sidewalls. The nose vent
can get more or less closed, but there isn't any way to control the
side vents. It occurs to
me that there...

Has anyone set it up yet? I can see a couple of friends on course by
looking at their individual spot tracking pages, but I have no idea
what
the task is for the day. Also, is anyone using SPOT at BH this week?

Keys for older Cobra trailers by
mattm[_2_]
Hi, All,
I've got an issue with my older (1990) Cobra trailer. It has the
older style rectangular
latches that you have to press in to lock, and then use the key to
open. Where do
you get the key blanks for the locks? I've only got one key and my
local locksmiths
couldn't find any matching...
