[email protected]
Hello,
You guys, UFO sightings are way down. What's the deal? Are ya' goin'
broke er' what? Did you loose something on the safety factors, or is
it just because, I quit handing out the instructions? Awe, come on you
guys. I've seen battery operated devices, attempts to travel time...

unported flop tube by
jasonlee
A possible fix would be to keep the tube submerged at all times by,
making the tube mobile or attaching a float at its end to keep it
where it should,
another solution may be , and dont trust me here , test it first, to
make the tube double ended so one end would always be submerged.
a third...

Better URL for the "Unrecoverable Spins" Article by
Jay
Dave,
Great info as always.
Thanks for not using my name when talking about "beginners entering
spins on hammerheads unintentionally" and on "fat guys sitting in the
back seat causing rudder blanking in a Super D". GRIN

Q: Upset Training Course Vs Basic Aerobatics? by
Jay Beckman
Hello,
I'm a newly minted PP-ASEL and I'm making a "wish list" of things that can
make me a better, safer pilot.
One of the things I'm very interested in is learning more about dealing with
unusual attitudes and recovering from same.
Would there be advantages to enrolling in a purpose-built...

Starduster Too for Aerobatics by
Jay Moreland
If a Starduster Too has inverted fuel and oil will it make a good
aircraft to learn aerobatics in? I have read that it is "Not designed
for aerobatics" but has a +6/-6 G-load capability. It may not be up to a
Pitts, but would it be comparable to a Decathalon? Would it be safe for
aerobatics? How...

Emergency Parachute questions by
Jay Moreland
I need advice on a pilot emergency chute. I am only a pilot and know
nothing about parachutes. I need an emergency parachute because I will
be doing aerobatics in a Pitts-like biplane: required by FAA. My weight
is #140. The altitude I will be landing if I am unlucky enough to need
to use the chute...

Aerobatic engine IO-360 AEIO-360 comparison by
Jay Moreland
I need to have someone explain to me the advantages of two different
Aerobatic engines: IO-360 with Christen Inverted Oil system VS an
AEIO-360. Are there any inherent benefits of one over the other when
doing acro with negative G maneuvers? Or are they essentially the same?
Can you take any...

Discovery Wings Channel ??? by
Jerry J. Wass
All Thumbs wrote:
Whatever happened to the EAA shows that were aired on Speedvision?
Was "Fom The Ground Up" shown on that channel? Seems like the EAA
could provide some programming. I always wanted a channel that would
just drive up and down the rows at Oshkosh, no commentary...

Citabria Pro (N5143T) ? by
joerg
The current condition and location of the aircraft are unknown. A
recent search of the FAA N number database list the Pro's N number
(N5143T) as reserved, with no aircraft assigned to the number. A
search of the NYSB aviation accident database can find no accident
involving N5143T.
Does anybody...

What airplane would fill this mission? by
John B
Hello all,
I'm looking for an airplane to purchase or build, but I can't find one
that meets all of my needs/wants (yes, I know, all airplanes are a
bucket of compromises). So, I'm asking all of you out there for
advice on any airplanes that would fit this profile.
Important to Haves:
- could be...

Accelerated spin questions by
John Harper
Did my first accelerated spins yesterday (in a Grob). Woohoo.
Unfortunately my stomach wasn't wild about them, so I only
did a couple. But I did get to thinking about the aerodynamics
of them (maybe as a way to forget my nausea!), and I had a
couple of questions which I wondered if anyone here can...

Flying suit by
John Harper
Anyone have any suggestions on where to get a proper flying
suit, the one-piece kind with lots of zipper pockets? My
acro instructor gave me a couple of URLs but neither of
them seems to work (flyingsuit.com and
government.com - I remembered it when I
tried it!). Would be nice to have something you...
