Basic Training Gliders by
Justin Craig
I am surprised to read Derek suggesting that there
is no successor to the K13. In my mind the ASK21 is
the perfect successor (probably the best, most robust
trainer available) !
They may lack spinning characteristics, but in my opinion
that is no big issue.

2005 Junior Worlds Accident by
Justin Craig[_2_]
Last week I posted a message which made reference to
the RAF GSA. What I had said was incorrect. In a moment
of extreme anger, replying to a post by Alistair Wright,
I mistakenly made the reference.
In fact the GSA is a super / safe organisation, with
a good fun approach to our sport. What I...

Pilot report from Hahnweide Mid-air by
Justin Craig[_3_]
I agree. Excellent report, however he is not retiring from competition
flying, quite the opposite. He still intends to fly competitions, but will
be selective about which ones.

Kent Gliding Club (UK) by
Justin Fielding
Hi guys, I have been thinking about starting to fly gliders (I have
previously flown R/C and Paragliders). I am based in the Southern
London suburbs, Kenley is only about 15 mins from me, but they do not
fly over the weekends from what I can tell, so for a person who works
Mon-Fri this makes it...

Learning to fly in Europe? by
Justin Fielding
Hi all,
I'm going to be on a road tour of Europe in August (South of France,
Switzerland, Germany etc) and was thinking of stopping somewhere for a
week to do a gliding course.
My first question would be whether or not any training I do in Europe will
be valid back in the UK? The second would be...

new yahoo Group for Ventus Sailplane owners by
Justin Rizor
I like the interaction, discussion and ideas going on in the ASW20
group so much, I felt the Ventus sailplane should have one as well.
I'm a new Ventus B owner in AZ and created a yahoo user group for the
Ventus sailplane.

Glider trailer plans by
[email protected]
Hi all,
Has anyone got a set of trailer plans hidden away on their hard drive, mostly interested in the box section, truss spans, RHS dimensions and wall thickness.
It’s for a Libelle trailer
Thanks

Glider Recommendations by
Justrolln
I’m new to the sport and am thinking about getting my first glider
this summer. I was hoping that you guys would all put your 2 cents in
and help me sort through all the wonderful why A is better than B…
Some things I’m concerned about are
I’m 6’2” and mostly torso. When I sit in a DG 1000 I...

Glider Recommendations by
Justrolln
Thanks Morgan,
I'll be sure to take you up on your offer; it will help in the process
for sure.
Looking back on it, I should have flown Avenal a different day, as not
all the ships where there on Wednesday. I saw a Genesis showed up,
and would really like to see one in person.
The hand brake is...

Winpilot, Arrival Altitude vs McReady setting ? by

When running Winpilot (ADV) on my IPAQ - Changing the McReady setting
affects only the Arrival altitude on my Home airport or on my final glide
airport, while when running Winpilot XP on my PC, changing the McReady
setting affects the Arrival Altitude on all airports shown in the map.
Why this...
