UK RNAS Culdrose Airshow- anyone going? by
Joe landy
Hi all, Believe it's soon the weekend of Culdrose airshow. Anyone going?
In fact, some web pages quote the 19th, others quote 16th. I thought it was
on for 2 or 3 days?
I'm in Cambridgeshire, so it's a bit of a trek by road. Anyone from my area
dropping in by air? I'd be interested in hitching a...

UH=1 by
Brien
The rear transmission support on a UH-1, is this one support mostly for the
twisting action of translational lift ? Or is it more of a vibration or
shock unit. As it is only held in by (8) -3 bolts it hard to think of any
real support.

UH-1H by
Brien
I have a UH-1H that I want to get running for a display or just something
to turn up in my back yard. I need a T-53 engine it does not need paperwork
or be airworthy just runable. I also need another transmission it also does
not need to be airworthy. Any contact would be helpful .

Where is the data tag located on a UH-1H helicopter. Is their any other
location the serial number might be on the helicopter other than on the data
tag.

UH-1F Huey help by
Hello,
I've looked 'high and low' but cannot locate a Speed Decreaser Gear (SDG) to
fit a T58-GE-3 engine. I believe this motor originally flew in a UH-1F Huey.
The SDG needs to be complete, in running condition but does not require
'air-worthy' paperwork (as this for a 'non-aircraft' application)...

Uh-1B by
brien
I have been looking for a UH-1 for several years for experimental exhibition
as a war bird. I have found two of them with no paperwork no log books no
traceable bill of sale to the U.S. Government for the original sale or for
that matter to the last owner. I have been told this is not that...

UH-12B by
brien
Thinking of buying a OH-23B, the wood blades are bad just how hard are they
to find, and at what cost $$$.
Also the OH-23 never had the airworthness cert issued, this should be the
same as the UH-12B . I believe I can get the standard airworthness cert with
a DAR and conformity with the original...

UH-1 Tailpipe by
Brien
I have a UH-1 tailpipe with cooling fins and looks like a heat exchanger and
a line for fuel. Was this used to reduce the heat signature and risk of heat
seeking missile attack.

UFO HeliThruster and IFR? by
virtuPIC[_2_]
Yes, I confess. I don't know much about rotorcrafts. Especially
regarding gyrocopters my knowledge is even more limited.
However, on the net I just stumbled over UFO HeliThruster. Rumors are
that it is rather stable. The manufacturer not only sells kits but also
(FAA-?) certified planes.
If I...

Turbine to RC transition by
B4RT
Some friends bought me a really spiffy coaxial RC helicopter for my
birthday. Holy canoli these things are a stinkin blast! A little humbling at
first too, it took me a while to figure out the trim hickamajobs, and flying
one without it being trimmed is damn near impossible. I crashed pretty...

Turbine powered rotorcraft by

FAR 91.409 involves itself with requiring some sort of special inspection
program for turbine powered rotorcraft. Builders of Amateur Built turbine
powered rotorcraft are being forced to generate some inspection program
documentation to get the airworthiness certificate. Nearly all of these...

Turbine PIC time at Group3 for $135? by
Jacob Burnetski
Has anyone tried the program at Group3 that allows you to build PIC
time in a 206? I found it when I was looking for a transition course,
and it just seems too good to be true. $135 for 206 time?
http://www.group3aviation.com/site/helitrain/pic/bottom.html
I'd be interested to hear from anyone...
