Winpilot and OLC by P. Corbett
Hi I wonder if it is possible to upload a PDA/Winpilot IGC file to the OLC? I know the log is not secure but will be accepted for scoring? Winpilot is definitely not on the list of OLC approved software. If it is not possible, does anyone know why Winpilot has been excluded? Paul

Jantar (was Cirrus v ASW) by Jono Richards
Jeff, A Jantar is a fantastic machine, with good performance for the price. Shame you cant use one with a 'normal' canoy, but really and truly a split canopy is of no hindrence what-so-ever. With regards to tipping over - its probably the least of your worries if you are landing in a field where...

Interesting Planning Tool by jcarlyle
Ran across an interesting web site today, then did a Google search of RAS and found it hasn't been mentioned here yet: http://www.runwayfinder.com/ It's interesting to me as a US pilot because the current METARs and TFRs are available by right clicking on a colored airport marking. Once the new...

Sports Class by 5 ugly
I would like to bring attention to the very fine article written by Dan Cole addressing the Sports Class sailplane requirements in Club Class World Team qualification. The article may be found on the US Team Committee web page under Team Selection and Sports Class Ideas. This article is a MUST READ...

SSA contest website by Udo Rumpf
Has anyone use the "contest result site" lately? It has a default last contest now. I could not find the schedule for 2006 at first, but did find it, way down on the bottom right. The "change the year" button, to get the old contests, appears not to work. Do you have this problem as well? Udo

Glider purchase fraud by Bob Caldwell
Hello Pilots, I have a sailplane for sale and have listed it on all the usual sites. I just received an offer (barely literate) similar to those discussed by and warned of by the fellow pilots on this site. It basically offers to pay my full offering price plus shipping. I am to keep the...

LS4 Water valve control rod wanted by Frank
I managed to lose one of the two approximately 18" metal water-valve control rods for my LS-4 (don't ask - its a long and embarrasing story). This is the rod that extends from the pilot control on the right side of the cockpit back to the bulkhead. I contacted the factory (now DG) about obtaining a...

Old Cambridge vario by Pupo Terso (Std. Austria)
I've got an old Cambridge Electric Vario ( 5mts) which model or serial number can't be found in any part of the instrument. It has a 3 possition switch to change the scale (0.5, 1.0, 2.0). Behind the instrument there is an hexagonal plug (apparently for the audio device). It was working fine...

Sailplane Upholstery by Gadget Guy
One of the winter projects that I have not completed as of yet is replacing the interior fabric. Does anyone know of a shop that sells fabric that resembles the material coming from the factory? I would prefer here in the US if possible. John DG-300 "XLT"

Instr. Overhaul and Leak Test by Ray Lovinggood
