Use of weak links by
Paul[_7_]
Currently the club that I am part of don't seem to be too concerned about
the safety aspects of using the correct weak links for winch launching

Currently I see two issues with the winch launching:
1. Sometimes a weak link is not used at all. The gliders are...

Canopy crack :( by
lanebush
After an unfortunate confrontation between me, my canopy, and the
buffer, I now have a two inch crack at the back canopy hinge point. I
have stop drilled the crack and am contemplating my options. The
crack is near my right shoulder so it is out of the field of vision.
However, I dread looking at...

Cobra trailer tire size? by
Tuno
I'm separated from my trailer by several hundred km, but I have the
rim and what very little is left of the blown tire, and I need to know
what size the tire ... was. It's a 2008 trailer. Does Cobra make their
trailers all with the same size tires (for 15/18M ships anyway)? if so
does ne1 have the...

SPOT tracking for Cordele or WC/1-26 Nats? by
mattm[_2_]
Has anyone set it up yet? I can see a couple of friends on course by
looking at their individual spot tracking pages, but I have no idea
what
the task is for the day. Also, is anyone using SPOT at BH this week?

Pneumatics Question by
jsbrake[_2_]
Hi All,
Whenever I accelerate, my varios bump up and tell me I'm climbing,
then settle back to reality. Any idea of what I need to look for to
fix this?
My setup:
Kestrel 19, two static ports in the tail boom, pitot and TE in the
fin. The TE line is split under the seat using a Y connector and...

Needs a new home: Schuemann TE box (circa 1973, with instructions).
Worked just fine when removed from my sailplane in '92, has been

SN10 Questions by
Barny
After about 50 flights with a SN10 and having RTFM many times plus
testing with the PC version, I have a couple questions:
1) When I turn to the Alternates page, instead of showing the #1 & #2
closest airports, it shows arbitrary airports, perhaps ones that I've
previously selected on other...

Law of Primacy by
[email protected]
I guess we are all pretty much in agrement that the law of primacy
makes it just about impossible for anyone who learned glider flying
with 0 altimeter to ever be able to fly with MSL altimeter, because
under pressure, he will revert back, and death, distruction, disaster,
etc will ensue.
With the...

Gatorade (only slightly OT) by
Martin Gregorie[_5_]
With summer, season of heat, dehydration and cramps, nearly here I have a
question:
Does anybody know where I can buy powdered Gatorade in the UK -
preferably lemon/lime flavour in 521g (18.4 oz) jars.
Failing that, does anybody have a recipe for an acceptable substitute?
